I am hoping to use these to tether a kayak to a fence. It shows 28in in cord length - but what length will they stretch to from that?

I was using mine just to keep tension on a rope tied to the end of my kayak. I am using it right now to hold a heavy duty bike cable lock on my bike's rack, which is kind of flat when it is coiled up. It starts out at 24 inches before stretching it. The advantage to this cord is the ability to shorten it from there. The cord part is really light weight, at slightly less that three sixteenths of an inch in diameter, so you would not want to have it holding anything more than about half a pound.

How long is this cord end-to-end?

Right out of the package, the 9mm cord is 41 inches from the inside of the hook at one end to the inside of the hook at the other end, with both ends wrapped around & locked. If the cord is unwrapped and allowed to just make a U, this distance is 47.5 inches. After stretching, this might be a little longer. We will be connecting two together to secure a patio umbrella from wind gusts. We need 7.5 feet of usable length, so we will have one end wrapped around and locked to make minor adjustments, and the other three ends will be configured as simple U's -- should give us about 90 inches (woo-hoo! 7.5 feet - just need to wrap around the umbrella pole and the balcony railing, so may have to move the umbrella a little closer to the railing).

Hay que tener cuidado y pensar dónde lo vamos a agarrar para que quepa sin problema ya que los ganchos son demasiado gruesos a mi juicio y deben poder cerrar bien. Aparte mirar la longitud, etc.
