I purchased 8,9 & 10 together in AU. All arrived together in one box, sealed and at first appeared in good condition. Book 8 however, came with no dust cover and the hard cover of book 10 was spotted with scuffs and tears, all of which were covered up by a new dust cover.

The best superhero book of the 2000s keeps trucking along, offering changes, new challenges and surprises. It's hard to summarize without spoilers but suffice to say Mark must deal with the shocking betrayal from the last book and perhaps his greatest challenge yet... fatherhood. After reviewing 10 'ultimate' volumes it's hard to come up with more superlatives for this series. It is unpredictable, it balances comic book-standards with some realistic plot points and it's willing to let characters go once they have filled their role. It's my favorite superhero book of the 2000s and now the 2010s as well. The best praise I can come up with is that I'm looking to sharply cut my book collection, getting rid of almost half of it. But Invincible will be staying and I'll be buying more. Another sign of how good it is, once I got it I read the whole book in one sitting. Then I took vol 9 down and reread that. I can't think of any other series where I do that. So yeah, buy this, buy the whole series. If you like superheroes you'll love this.
