Really does the job! Super happy with the results!
This Clear Coat is Amazing! I watched a few videos and a number of them recommended this clear coat and now that I've used it, I recommend it too. I have a 2014 Honda CRV with 203K miles and the pain was look pretty bad especially on the hood. I did some light sanding, cleaned the surfaces and then applied the coating. It is so easy to use - hold it about 2-3 inches from the surface and move quickly and smoothly it gives a nice clear seal. I am extremely happy with the results. And you can put on a more than one layer. Great value too, if you have the time to do it yourself. And, many videos said I had to remove all that white spaul around the worn areas. In some cases I could not sand it out and this product covered it 95% or better. Dries very quickly. Nice and shiny. and seems as durable as the original coating. If you've got an older vehicle and don't want to pay a ton to get the paint in shape so it does rust or further deteriorate, give this a try. Pro tip - get a tack cloth and once you're done with sanding and cleaning the are you plan to coat, give it a good going over with a tack cloth. My first time to use one, but what a difference in "cleaning" the surface.

Works great, and the price is great
This is a really great product when you still have the color underneath the coding that is peeling. You flick off the XS spray this and it makes it look as if there's nothing wrong with the paint on your car. Considering the repair shop wanted to charge me $1300 just for the hood of my car, this is definitely worth the cost.

Ruined my guitar finishes.
I bought this because of the unlimited pot life. I was finishing a Joe Satriani body and refinishing a vintage 540r body. First after two weeks the paint still didn’t harden. You could search it easily with a fingernail. I kept scratching it with a fingernail to test it in a inconspicuous area. After two weeks the clear coat began cracking ruining the finish on both guitars and and a head stock, I tried to capture the cracks as best as I could on my phones camera. I followed the instructions to a T. I even called their paint specialist. He said the hardener activates using moisture in the air. I asked what the best humidity was to use it in and he said between 60% and 70% but you should be good even at 35%. I was using it at 65% which should be the sweet spot. Temp was 70 degrees F well above the 60 degrees recommended. The body that first started cracking was also hanging in a room with an industrial heating fan so the temperature was nice and warm for it to cure in.Based on my experience I cannot recommend this paint at all. It’s ruined all of my tedious and hard work, I have to remove all of the finish on both guitars and the headstock I refinished now AND buy $250 worth of paint again. I’ll never get back all of my time and hard work that put into it. Don’t buy this stuff buy the Spraymax 2k if you want a 2k paint. People seem to be getting excellent results with it. The only thing I recommend against with the Spraymax is do not use it with a lacquer. It doesn’t seem to be compatible with lacquer. I used it over top of a Duplicolor black basecoat and 4 days later after wet sanding and buffing the clear just peeled right off. That’s a while other project I’ll have to start from scratch with. If you’re going to use the Spraymax 2k which is a polyurethane I recommend sticking with polyurethane for the primer and base coat colors. Then you shouldn’t have any compatibility issue.

Awesome clear works great.
Quality product wish it was cheaper. Would buy so much more of it if it was cheaper. If it was 18 bucks or something like that I would have no problem buying a ton of it. I refinishing wheels and paint cars and this is most definitely the best clear u can get in a can and love not having to be all used immediately because of the 2 part system but again just so expensive. Will definitely use again just on the more needed things when I'm not using my spray gun for clear if I am in need of easy to use no mixing will definitely be using this. So easy to use . The finish is awesome for a spray can. Again only problem I have is how expensive it is . Maybe use larger cans so there's more in there for the 30 bucks or make it so we can buy larger packs with a discounted price. Cause I would love to buy a good amount and I would be a consistent buyer at a discounted price . But the 30 bucks for 1 can is so much!

waste of time and money
purchased several cans for a car restoration project. The spray pattern out of nozzle less than ideal with a lot of clump-like spray. I knew this was common issue from reading reviews and figured I would simply wet sand it out. problem is after 2 coats per instructions the clear coat is very soft after more than 3 weeks, to point I can scratch it easily with just my finger nail. What a waste of time and money....will likely have to sand it all off and start again.....this time will use spray max clear as it's always worked, but wanted to try car rep due to its ability not having expiration time after first use (spay Max is only 48 hours after initial spray).

An excellent 2k finish for guitars
I've used both Spray max 2k and Car-Rep 2k and although they both work great. The fact that you can leave Car-Rep on the shelf for weeks unlike Spray max makes it a great addition to the tools for a gloss finish
