Works great, so easy to install for vents going down thru floor.
My metal dryer duct goes down thru floor and very close to wall. This is a great product. Easy to install. Put part on dryer with magnetic and push back and lines up perfect. No more long extra white hose that bends and gets squeezed when pushing dryer back, Make it easy one a year to pull dryer out use blower on inside and clean out lint. Have used brushes on drills and regular cleaning, once a year for single person keeps bent clean, always hand clean outside flapper. This is a true time saver and allows one to push dryer back farther.

Excellent product!
The Magvent MV-180 was easy to install and works great. My dryer is between a counter and my washer. Consequently, access to the rear of the dryer was restricted and I needed a 3' piece of expandible vent pipe to connect the dryer to the wall vent outlet. The vent pipe was always twisted up after I pushed the dryer back in place. The Magvent solved that problem. The magnets click-in perfectly when the dryer is close to the wall and the vent pipe is strait, no more twists.

Superior Upgrade to Standard Dryer Vent
So, installation took me 30-45min for the wall/hard duct interface. It was super easy, and they provide some drywall anchors. I would give some feedback that I wish that they would have included flat screws to make the dryer wall mount port mount a little more flush, but not a show stopper. The main picture included shows the finished mounting. I did make a small modification and took some aluminized duct/vent tape and cut into into strips and then went around the wall mounted port to ensure that I don't get some lint blow back from the port. You can see this in the finished mounting. I did see on someone else's installation video that they used a string to lift the dyer end of the connection and hold it up while you are mating the dryer end to the wall port. You just need to get close , and the magnets are very powerful and lock the connection into place. You can see the mess that I fixed. I had an old 4' length old duct that was wrapped up on to itself and the connection was very loose, thus all of the lint behind the dryer. So, I used my vacuum cleaner and cleaned the entire area and cleaned out the vents on both ends. Hopefully this will mean slightly shorter dryer cycle times and less lint. I would definitely recommend to check out some of the videos on Youtube and get a feel for it... Also they use Dryer Flex vent hose which is pretty good quality. I almost left out it's better to cut away all of the flashing from the house mounted hard duct vs making tabs and pulling them back. It looks sloppy and doesn't provide as good of a fit. I recommend to use some tin snips to do this and get yourself a small metal file so you can take the burrs off the metal since this stuff will slice your finger open if you're not careful. If I ever move the new house is getting this upgrade automatically.

Solves a problem
Had my new washer vent coming out within 3 inches of the wall vent. Couldn't use elbows or flex because I had no access on either side and needed to get the machine all the way back. This works and solves the problem. Here are the comments: -Installs to wall very easy. Cut your duct flush with metal snips and this fits right into it with a cone shaped tail piece. Wall anchors included. Don't flex the backing plate out of shape when attaching to the wall. -Alignment - I was 2-3 inches lower and 2 -3 inches side to side away from the wall vent. Took a couple of tries to get the bends just right in the hose so it would hit close enough to attach. This was a blind installation. Took 3 tries and the machine (washtower) is over 300 pounds to move in and out so not easy. But you can "pre set" the magnet on the end of the hose in the general location of your wall plate if you measure and align. The hose is rigid enough to state generally where you set it. To help align it I looped a light weight long electrical cord under the flex piece attached to the machine and over the top of the washtower and when I got it about 2 inches away from mating, I realigned by carefully lifting and moving the magnet flange over to where I needed it. Used a mirror to see from the top. Hard to explain but it works. -When attaching the duct to the dryer, the dryer outlet was a little smaller than a typical 4" pipe so on the first try of clamping the metal pipe to the dryer pipe, the metal flex pipe ripped badly right near the hose clamp. Had to cut about an inch or 2 off the metal flex pipe with snips and on try number two I put a larger diameter coupling over the dryer pipe end then clamped the flex down over it. This helped but still had slight tearing where the clamp gear is on the hose. Likely needs some tape over the clamp and hose on the end near the dryer. Wish they had made the end of the hose an aluminum coupling that could be clamped on instead of clamping the hose. - Hose is not replaceable so if you tear it bad it is gone. I would be very careful with the hose. It is metal but it is very thin. - Magnet holds pretty well but you dont really know (if you cannot get to the back/sides of the machine) if it is properly connected and sealed. Hard to see from the top of the machine with a mirror. Overall a very good idea that needs a little more improvement to make it 5 stars mostly on the quality of the hose and where it connects to the machine.

Measure where vent needs to go
Awesome product. Attached to stacked washer/dryer tower and pushed it back to minimal clearance to the wall. Magnets connected for a perfect seal

Magnificent Device!
Our house has a small, cramped utility room. When the house was built 20+ years ago, the builder and I attempted to place the wall mounted dryer vent such that our dryer would plug "straight in" since access for a connection was absolutely impossible. This has never worked well and always results in a very leaky connection. Every few years, we would pull the dryer away, climb in behind it, clean up the lint mess, and try yet again to "dock them" hoping for the best. After its most recent cleaning, I did some "YouTube" research and found this MV-180 Magnetic coupling. I knew immediately this would work! It is a genius idea! I bought one. Installation instructions are clear and there is also a YouTube video that I watched. It looks clean and high-tech when installed on the wall. Very secure. The clips that capture the wall mounted magnetic ring were a little awkward, but I was able to pry them into position using a large screw driver. I did not bother caulking the installation for pretty-ness because the caulk I had is only rated to 100F and no one will see it anyway. I have attached some pictures, as well as a suspenseful and exciting"docking video" that I captured by holding my iphone over the backside of the dryer as I pushed it into position (this is impossible to view without a camera or mirror). They do state that the dryer and the vent duct need to be within 1-2 inches of each other (left/right, top/bottom). This is going to depend on the separation - the more you have the more room the units have to find each other. In our case the alignments were within 1/2 inch and things worked great. This is because we want our dryer as close to the wall as we can get it to maximize our usable space.

Awesome product!
Best purchase in a long time. Iโve never had a more solid dryer connection than this! I have them on all three of my dryers and they work great for new home construction and Iโd say be simple to install on existing. The manufacturers built this thing sturdy and itโs a hard magnetic connection so I can just connect the dryer to it and slide it in place and the magnets will pull it directly into place and I donโt have to mess around trying to align two four inch pipes around each other.

Excellent product
Great product and worth the cost. Itโs wide collar works even if the vent hole was cut out badly by previous workmanship. Iโm not a fan of the screw drywall anchors that are included, but I know other DIYers who like them so to each their own. Iโll be buying again if needed on another project.

Perfect for when dryer exhaust is in line with wall outlet
Works great, good quality. This allowed me to get my dryer way closer to the wall than any other solution had, big difference. Use when you're trying to push the dryer on those last couple inches from the wall. Strong magnet means it finds its home easily and beware, it has been known to snap on unsuspecting fingers...

Works
It was not as easy to install as I had hope. Works well when properly lined up but you have to be careful otherwise it can leave a gap. It took me about 90 minutes to get it setup properly. Works best if berthing lines up but if the dryer and outlet are offset itโs a bit trickier.
