Why doesn’t my cat respond to catnip?

Sometimes it's genetic. Also, kittens under 6 months may not respond until they are older. Try silver vine or valerian root. Ultimate Blend combines catnip and silver vine; Gamma Blend adds valerian root for more ways to play.

How much catnip should I give my cat, and how often?

Cats generally know when they’ve had enough catnip. Offer small amounts during playtime, up to 2–3 times a day, and let your cat decide when to stop. If your cat loses interest, they’re done!

What can I try if my cat doesn’t respond to catnip?

From our experience, giving your cat a blend like our Ultimate Blend or Gamma Blend might be a game changer! Try offering the blend at the same location and time each day, even if there is no reaction. Your cat might develop a taste for it!

How should I use catnip, catnip buds, or catnip spray?

Sprinkle catnip on toys, bedding or favorite play areas. Crumble whole buds between your fingers to release their aroma, removing any loose stems. Use Catnip Spray Rejuvenator to refresh toys or encourage your cat to explore a scratching post or bed.

How should I store catnip to keep it fresh?

Store catnip in an airtight bag or jar, away from humidity and direct sunlight, at room temperature. Proper storage helps preserve its aroma and potency. Catnip can stay fresh for approximately 2 years when kept dry and dark.
