Tom Kha Gai Paste (Coconut Soup) Authentic Thai Taste 1.76 Oz

I've never had this kind of soup before, but I thought it sounded good, so I ordered this paste. It was really good and it was the easiest, quickest soup ever to make. I'm a vegetarian, so instead of chicken, I used more mushrooms (oyster mushrooms and baby bellas), and I added some chopped and shredded carrot to the mix. Delicious--everyone loved it.

This soup prepared always has a lot of sodium - and is delicious. I can't justify this amount myself, but if you don't have an issue with salt, then go ahead.

The only thing I would change about this order.... I WOULD ORDER MORE!!! It was delicious and I want MORE!!! The directions are simple and its a very delicious meal. I used tofu instead of meat... added some green onions.... and served over white rice (I like a little extra spice so I also added chili garlic sauce but that's just my taste it's def not necessary to add). Simply delicious. It does take a little while to receive you're order.... but it is a small company and they have to be cost efficient when shipping so I understand. I'm placing another order as soon as I'm finished with this review.

I bought this because I wanted to find a way to flavor coconut milk to have as sauce for vegetables in particular the dreary canned vegetables. I was lucky enough to have my order of small canned coconut milk to arrive at the same timee so I could experiment.The packet of paste is meant to be for one serving and I want to extend it out to be for many as simply a flavor base and it is. Just a little bit went a long way. It was a delicious flavor with spicy tang of lemon and some complex flavor which I enjoyed. There are many possibilities for it such as for noodle soup or even inthe making of the noodle itself in other words it could added to dough or used on rice. When i opened the can of coconut milk all the coconut paste had risen to the top and was incredible to eat right from the can without stirring and it was to that thick paste that I added the tom kha . I would definitely buy more of this if it weren't for the price of shipping.

There was not a good balance of flavors. It is really spicy and tastes worse as you eat it.

Not nice tasting, even considering you have to practically make soup from scratch before adding the mix.

We had a restaurant that made the best Tom Kha Gai but something changed over the past couple of years and it just didn’t taste the same. My heart was broken and I came across this and thought, give it a try. Blam!!!! We are back on love and I am about to stock up!!! Super fast and easy for a busy life but so full of flavor!!! We used sweetened coconut milk.
