As a man Thinketh: The Original 1902 Edition (The Wisdom Of James Allen)

Amazing book. It’s super short but sometimes short books pack the biggest punch. 100% a purchase I’m happy I made. I had a lot of deep reflections and I’m a better person for reading it.

Nice book. Bought for an incarcerated loved one, and he really enjoyed it. He did not receive the 1st copy that I bought, but I was issued another one without question.

When reading this book, do not read it like a novel cover to cover. Read this paragraphs or a few pages a day and ponder what you read. You will inevitably get a better understanding out of what is written and how you can apply it in your life. If you do read it cover to cover, then I suggest go back and read it in sections after and mark and take personal notes as you go. So much insight and wisdom is provided that if you really want to make a change in your life for the better or even to just progress a little more, you will get more out of each section if you read at a slower pace and allow yourself to take the time to apply this wisdom in your life. HOWEVER you read it, I can assure you that you will keep this in your library for ever and reference often. I purchased a bunch of these book and have given them as gifts to people I know that are looking for more direction in their life. What they do with it, is up to them, but I know it is a great reference to have when needed.

This is a simple, but POWERFUL book. It holds a lot of biblical value and strength. The subconscious mind is more powerful than most people would care to chat about. If the average person could ever sit still long enough and actually take an interest to conquer their thoughts and renew their minds it would be a lovely day. The world would be as peaceful as a field of fresh flowers blooming in the spring. It would shed light on a whole new beginning of life almost like a butterfly coming out of its cocoon and flying freely into a new environment. Our thoughts become our actions and our actions have a way of displaying our personal behaviors which depict our characters. This is a good book for a mature person that is ready and willing to seek personal changes. I read this book and shared this book with my husband last year around this time. Change is always good, but you have to desire it first.

I bought several of these to give out to my friends after completing my first reading. Wonderful and potentially life changing book for some. The physical quality and aesthetic is great as well.

Someone recommended this book and it’s a light but good read. It’s book I’d definitely go back to time to time.
