Our plasticware cardboard box got wet and was no longer useable. We found this utensil box and it is wonderful. Included are four sturdy dividers with Velcro tabs on each end and 2 Velcro strips on each of the inner long sides of the box. This makes it so easy to adjust the dividers to accommodate the amount of knives, forks and spoons. The box, lid and dividers are covered with a good water-proof material. The short ends of the box have handles for easy carrying. Although there are no fasteners to secure the lid to the box, the lid does fit snugly onto the box. There is no guarantee the lid will stay on if the box is dropped or carried with only one handle.

it is a little bit on the flimsy side when filled with a 16 place setting a flatware, so I have supported it the cardboard tray that cans of sparkling water come in, this adds sufficient support underneath it to carry it and slide it under the bed when not in use.

Purchase for a small apartment without adequate drawer space. This item works great. It’s durable and attractive and most important fits the space

First issue is not enough divider so I bought 2 to make one. Second it just need 5mm more and can fit chopsticks perfectly. I like it slim enough so it fit under my dining/desk/coffee transformer table. It did free up my kitchen drawer for more cooking tools.

You can adjust the divider location to accommodate your needs. Unlike the plastic flatware storage organizer I purchased, all compartments of equal length. With the plastic organizer, only one of the five compartments is long enough to hold dinner knives. This this storage box, all can be used for knives if you want.

On New Year's day I asked my husband to set table for guests that afternoon. I pulled out all the ' good' cutlery from its spot and he set to it. When I went to have a look we ended up arguing because he had wrong knives out for dessert and wrong forks for main course etc. When I looked closer I could see that the cutlery was ' all over the place' i.e not that easy to distinguish because it had all been put together without labelling or separation. Today the silverware boxes came. I cleaned every bit of cutlery,set up the dividers and put labels in to distinguish one type of fork/knife /spoon from another. Loads of room .And at last - order. Delighted with this purchase
