Selens External Portable DC Dummy Battery Pack for Sony Micro SLR NP-FW50 Full Decode Power

I got tired of having to swap out batteries in my A6000 camera every 45 min or so under heavy use. I combined this product with  2.1x5.5mm DC Connector 8x1.5V AA Plastic Battery Case Holder (for AA 8 x CELL)  and added SEVEN (NOT eight) high capacity AA NiMH batteries and used a metal bolt as a "blank" on the last slot and then connected via cable/adapter to a A6000 Camera. Voltage reads 9.4 which is a bit higher than 8.6 recommended peak voltage. The round connectors for both products match perfectly. The camera appears to working be fine. Will update if anything unexpected occurs. This was used for my own camera. Use this concept at your own risk as I cannot assume responsibility for your setup.

At first, this dummy battery was working just fine until one day it stopped working, the display on the camera no longer worked, and I started smelling an electric burn smell. I knew there and then that the dummy battery caused the problem.

It has worked very well so far

Works perfectly with my Sony A6300. I have it hooked up to a Sony L-Series battery plate so I can film all day without having to switch out a bunch of the tiny internal batteries.

This works on my Sony RX10 ii, same size as the NP-FW50. It shows 50% battery on my camera but maybe this is because I only plugged in 7.5V. Serves the purpose!
