This case is thin plastic, but it's not cheap, glossy; it has a thick feel and firm-grip texture, and it fits exactly to the phone, leaving uncovered all ports and the screen. If the phone is dropped, this case will fly off (if dropped on other than a padded --rug--surface, but it will have done its job in protecting the phone from that initial hit, and the covers (2 piece) should be undamaged and snap right back onto the phone. Great protection for the price.

I just got it today, and I'm happy. I have a Alcatel Go Flip, and it is smooth and slippery. This case has a great gripping texture. I'm not afraid of dropping the phone.

I can't rate because I mistakenly got aplastic case...not your fault--mine and they don't seem to sell leather ones for my phone anyway. so it is hard to rate. it is not as protective as I hoped. but it is better than nothing. and they don't offer anything else for my phone model.

When I attempted to activate the phone online, Verizon would not allow me to activate it on my voice only plan. I was being forced to accept a new plan with data. Even though I had no intention of using text or data, it increased my bill by over $20 a month. I did not proceed. I switched both of my phones to Ting Wireless and now pay $50 less a month. Even though this phone is loaded with Verizon firmware, it is not "locked" to Verizon. Ting Fedexed me two SIM cards. I was able to transfer both phone numbers to Ting same day.

This fit my Alcatel go Flip V much better than I thought, as this phone has an odd shape. This is the second one I purchased and the first on lasted just about two years. I like the case as it hardly adds any bulk to the phone and fits into my front pocket. I will purchase again if needed.
