Best one yet!
I love this book! I was worried it'd be full of just complicated recipes that I had to go to multiple specialty stores to find the ingredients for, but it's got a fantastic selection of recipes ranging from 'easy' to what I call 'fancy'. Wonderfully written and easy to interpret as well. I can't wait to start trying them! Perfect timing for this book to come out!

Just when you think Hank Shaw can't outdo himself, he does. If you are a Shaw fan, you know he has a deep, long history with fish and he brings ALL that knowledge to the table in this book. Clearly a labor of love, and truly a gift to the reader, this has it all. No matter if you are a spare time fisherman or a trained chef, you will learn, grow and experience from Hook, Line and Supper. In true Shaw fashion, there are recipes for all types of fish and seafood as well as skill level and ingredient supply. Buy one for yourself, then go and buy for all the fisherman and chefs in your life.

Another great installment in Hank Shaw’s culinary series!
Even if you don’t enjoy seafood, you would enjoy this book. The amazing photographs and illustrations walk even a novice chef through what might otherwise be considered a daunting process. The history and background of the various fish, processes, and dishes take this book to a whole new level.Hank does an amazing job explaining every nuance of how to breakdown fresh caught fish and even how to locate and evaluate fish at your local market. His recipes are easy to follow with some unique ingredients, and also have suggested alternate ingredients that most of us have in our pantry. I’ve been an avid hunter for years and have relied on Hanks books to provide me with new ideas to innovate my dinner table.I own almost all of the other cook books that Hank has to authored. This book itself is a hefty hard bound masterpiece in the same dimensions of all his other books. They fit nicely on the shelf in bar! Heck, if you are a true hunter/angler, you should own them all! I have purchased multiple copies of each as gifts for my pals and they have never been disappointed.You will not be disappointed with this book!

The seafood cookbook you've been waiting for
It is really hard to get a good seafood cookbook from the perspective of an angler and a chef. When written by one or the other something is always missing, either the knowledge of the fish or the finesse of the dish. This book has both. It's a cookbook you love to read and love to use. You won't be disappointed. It's creative and informative and delicious. Get it now. I'm on my third dish at least.

If you catch and cook fish, this is the book for you!
If you just want a cookbook for fish, you're selling this book short. Think of it as the penultimate book for fisherman who love to eat their catch. How to prepare the fish, from filleting forward, to magnificent recipes for preparing them. The pictures of the food are magnificent. I want to cook everything in the book this week. That's how good the food looks. And if this book is true to Hank's others, there won't be a bad recipe in the book. I don't buy that many cookbooks, but Hank Shaw's books are a welcome exception. A great gift for your fish-loving friends as well....money well spent.

Great variety and detail.
Quality publication. It's not just a cookbook with recipes. There is so much good information. The recipes look amazing. I can't wait to try many of them. It covers more than just fish on the grill or in the oven. Awesome resource!

Hank Shaw is awesome
I love the Hank Shaw books. “Hook, Line and Supper” is a great addition to the library. The way it is broken down provides great information for everyone. From a beginner to a seasoned pro you will pick up something useful from this book. All the recipes I have used have been delicious.

A very good cook book.
Finally! The last fish/seafood cook book you will need. Hank Shaw’s experience and appreciation for each fish/shellfish is very noticeable. His recipes are as elegant has his writing style and easy to follow. Hook, line, and supper is a must have for any one who appreciates the catch as well as the cooking.

The best guide to cooking fish at home I've come across!
Hank Shaw does it again with another book that straddles the difficult line between cooking really well at home and "cheffy" food perfectly. The advice is straightforward and categorized by style of fish rather than each individual variety. This makes this book way more universal than many other books I've purchased that only deal with seafood from Britain or Australia for example (useless to me in Canada), and allows the home cook to easily cook any number of different fish with the same recipe. The photography is excellent and the writing is Hank's usual no-nonsense, page turning prose. Highly recommend!

The greatest fish cook book I ever bought.
Hank knocked it out of the park again with this one! My kids are already drooling at all the possibilities of our fly fishing adventures to come and shore lunches ahead. Great for any level chef starting out cooking all types of fish. (The gods know I could use all the help I can get!)

Fantastic fish food
Another tome full of magnificent recipes from one of my favourite authors. Recipes are easy to follow and taste fantastic. The photos have you drooling long before you start preparing the dish.
