Does this have a light

No light. it's a finely crafted, minature tool. No room for a battery.

Right out of the box, the case will not open. I have tried pushing lightly, heavily, one/both sides, nothing works. It will not open! Suggestions?

One end is darker than the other and has a very shallow groove in it. Hold the middle of the case with one hand and press lightly and quickly on the shallow groove. The insert will release and pop up.
