EliteCase Armor Triple Layer Case with Screen Protector for iPhone 6S - Gunmetal

This is a great iPhone 6s case, highly durable, very affordable and well-designed. I did not expect this case would work so well for such a reasonable cost, but it's exceeded my expectations. It's built in two pieces, like many cases today: a softer, rubber-like inner skin covering, and an outer hardshell that snaps over the soft layer to provide impact protection. All the button covers and actuators work perfectly. They were slightly stiff at first, but have softened slightly in short order and work well now. All the port openings are sufficiently sized to handle any cables and connectors I've tried, without issue. The front surrounding edge of the case is raised to give your screen enough clearance to safely set the phone face-down on a flat surface, even with a thicker tempered glass screen protector in place. Also, the case has a decent tactile "grippy" feel to keep your phone from sliding around in your hand -- especially nice for one-handed texting! A nice design touch: the corners have thicker, slightly enlarged bumpers that provide extra drop protection where your iPhone is most vulnerable to screen breakage. These corners are not over-sized in a way that makes it hard to get your phone out of your pocket, or that gives your phone an annoying "dog-bone" shape. The case still has a very trim, close-fitting appearance. And the protection seems quite good: I've already had a couple corner drops on hardwood flooring and asphalt, and the case has protected the phone perfectly. Recommended!

Great case. Simple but secure. I kept a raised screen protector on my phone from a previous case and it integrated well with the new EliteCase. I don't know how it will hold up to drops (only reason I didn't give it 5 stars) but I hope it lives up to its reputation from these other great reviews. Since my original review I have dropped the phone and the case held up! Earned that fifth star! I was standing on a concrete floor and dropped it from about waist high. I'm 6', and as designed, the case landed on a corner, absorbed the shock and wasn't harmed! It's sleek and protective - what more could you ask for?! Most of all the seller had contacted me to ensure everything was great -which it is! If you've never heard of the Freemont Troll in Seattle, you should check it out. I dropped my phone off its head, it landed on his fist screen side up, and landed on the ground. After that, my friend still took the below photo with only a slight crack in the plastic of the case and no harm to my phone! Keep loving this case! Wish I could give it a sixth star!

UPDATED 11.2.16 - Having issues with buttons, see #3 under Bad Stuff below! Dropped rating as well. UPDATED 11.17.16 - Received replacement, because of button issues. Issue resolved! I purchased this case for my iPhone 6S. I set my expectations low for the price. I just wanted something that would protect the corners and give me a little front glass protection with a raised edge. Here are my impressions: GOOD STUFF: 1. The case seems tough, the plastic is thick and seems strong on the corners. 2. There's a little raised bit on the back at each corner that keeps the plastic from getting easily scratched with the phone sitting on its back. 3. The front edge is raised all the way around the device so that provides some front glass protection when laying face down. 4. This is a 2-piece case. Its not that hard to put on, the rubber is flexible and easily goes on and off. When you snap on the plastic backing that comes around the sides, it becomes a very rigid and solid case. BAD STUFF: 1. This is NOT a super heavy duty, drop it from 10 feet off the ground, run over it with a car, lose it in a creek case. It's basic but sturdier and tougher than most at this price. (I have purchased dozens being in Corporate IT.) 2. This "triple layer case" is 3 pieces in that it also happens to include a screen protector. This is NOT a ballistic type, hard glass screen protector. If it was, this wouldn't be ~ $12. The screen protector is film type, and it's a little hard to line up because of the curved edges of the glass. I tried to get it to line up 2 or 3 times, taking it off and repositioning each time. This meant I ended up getting finger prints and dust under the film creating bubbles. This is a big pain in the rear. Also, this kind of film can protect the front glass from wear and scratches, but not drops or heavy scrapes. RESOLVED-> 3. ADDED THIS: I have come to experience the fact that the volume buttons and the power button are pretty much useless using this case. I have to push so hard to activate the button beneath the case, I almost want to throw the case away and not use it until I can get another one. I am dropping my rating down because of this. Frustrating. I was contacted by Elitecase to comment on my product, explained issue with buttons, they sent me a brand new case. After receiving it, I found the issue with the buttons was not present on the new case. NOW, the case is usable and good protection for my iPhone 6s. Thanks! BOTTOM LINE: Good case for the money, tougher than most at this price. The screen protector is useless, unless you just don't care about your screen. I had this 2 days and noticed scratches on the screen protector. At end of day of having this set, I ordered a Tech Armor Ballistic glass screen protector (Pkg of 2) iPhone 6 Glass Screen Protector, Tech Armor Premium Ballistic Glass Apple iPhone 6S / iPhone 6 (4.7-inch) Screen Protectors [2 ] These are great screen protectors and have used them quite a bit over the years on various phones with good luck when the phone was dropped on the face. It also protects against all scratches and is a much smoother and more sensitive screen protector.

I love this case! I have had it for 5 months now and it is working wonderfully. It is an excellent case for the price. I previously had a speck case (which I also loved), but I decided to go with a cheaper option this time around. Look: The EliteCase I bought is a metallic gray and black. The black trim of the rubbery insulation is a good look next to the metallic-gray hardshell. No bells or whistles, but that wasn't what I was looking for. Function: I have loved the performance of this case. I have dropped it multiple times from various heights and the case keeps on going. The rubbery insulation has broken the fall well and I haven't cracked or chipped my phone yet. I like that the rubber sticks out beyond my screen so if I turn it on it's screen, it rests on the rubber and not the screen. With other cases I have had problems with lint getting down the lightning port but the EliteCase has an offset in the port openings that catches the lint before it goes down the hole. I am not sure if that was the intent behind the design, but I love it! Comparison: I view my EliteCase in the same category as my Speck case and a lot cheaper. Performs just as well with a fraction of the price. When I buy a phone case again, I will definitely keep EliteCase in my options.
