This hand salve works!! It is not greasy and absorbs nicely. Very little fragrance and works immediately.

Been using this Kiehl’s hand salve for about a week and it's been amazing! I've tried a lot of expensive, nice lotions lately and nothing has worked as well as this has. I wash my hands so much and have very dry, cracked hands and little small cuts and this has made a significant difference in the last few days. It's also been amazing for my dry feet!! Not greasy, melts into your skin nicely and the benefits stick around all day. It’s definitely pricey but so worth it imo! I tried the small size to start but will be upgrading to the large $44 size next time because it's worked so well.

Better than most hand moisturizer and hand protector products. The thick lotion absorbs quickly and doesn't firm a greasy layer on the skin. It does settle rough patches and cracks, but it needs to be reapplied about three times a day and is not as good a protector as some products (particularly the popular hemp and beeswax hand protector by another company that was discontinued in its original formulation). The lotion is slightly resistant to water; it will stay on through light dampness, but doesn't last through hand washing. The need to reapply makes it slightly similar to lip products with paradoxical or addictive qualities (i.e., in order to work they have to keep being reapplied, and the skin never retains its own protective ability). This lotion is not that bad, but leans slightly in that direction: without reapplication, the skin reverts to dryness. Still, this is better than most hand products I've tried for correcting hangnails and rough and broken skin.
