Serious quilter must have
Neat ruler for making rectangular blocks

Best Tool for this Block
This block requires precision. Deb's tools typically involve slightly oversizing and then trimming down. While some may not prefer that method, it is the most forgiving method. Any bob or weave on your cutting or seaming on a biased angle will magnify. With this tool, there is a margin for error...not huge so that you are wasting fabric. But enough so that you will have a perfect trim down. Some may feel like it is an extra step...but you will get an accuracy rate of 99.9%,and you will know that your block finishes perfect with the trim divided appropriately among the seam line. It is the right tool for the job. For less than $22 you will have a lifetime of accurate split rects.

Easy way to make HRT's
Needed to make HRT (Half Rectangle Triangles) for a project and needed a tool to assist. The one suggested was more expensive and seemed complicated to use (it was just used for trimming the piece to size). This looked easier and was cheaper. At first I wasn't sure how to use it by just reading the instructions, but once I worked through the steps, the process made sense. The one thing I did different was to make my starting strip a quarter inch bigger; there's a bit more waste, but I end up with the correct size pieces.

Love this tool
I don't often buy tools that are for one specific purpose, but this does the job so well. I know I can do this with a regular ruler, but not having to think about it is SO WORTH IT

a no-brainer
needed a hrt ruler for my next quilt, looked at 'the other one' here on amazon is SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS! saw this one for a third of that, can see it's clearly intuitive to use, so i bought this. don't even have it yet and am very happy with this purchase.

I have used Tucker rulers in the past and love them.
I first used Tucker rulers to make a Galaxy quilt in a class at my quilt shop. Then I used more and created a mystery quilt for Christmas with them. I love that you make the block or section of the block a little bigger and trim them down to the perfect size. With these rulers and Deb Tucker's techniques it makes quilting so easy. You don't have to be afraid of having to fudge something to make it work.

Never struggle with split rects again
This was used for a mystery quilt using Studio 180 deign rulers. I didn't have this one and "fudged" it, but it didn't work. So glad ordered. Delivery to South Africa was quicker than most American suppliers.
