Taylor Precision Products Digital Cooking Thermometer with Probe and Timer

This is the 2nd one we’ve bought. We gave our first one to our daughter. It’s easy to use and very accurate for roasting times. We use for any size roast, pork, beef ham and turkey. Just follow the instructions. After inserting the thermometer probe in the meat, put your roast in the oven. No worries about the coated wire attached to the probe it’s is long enough to reach the digital monitor. The digital monitor can rest on the counter or with its magnetic back to the outside of one’s oven.Definitely recommend this product.

The timer function stopped working in less than a year. Upon opening up the timer, I found that one of the wires had broken from its solder joint and other wires seemed to be "just" holding. Very poor workmanship.I left it at 2 stars because the design is good, just very fragile.

Free advice: The crimping on the thermowell that is meant to hold the thermocouple in didn't hold mine in; it slipped further up during normal use, this lead to the oven temperature being read, however if you didn't notice and you used this for cooking your food might be at an unsafe temperature. This is easy fixed, just add additional crimps to the thermowell. I had to pull mine out completely, cut the thermowell, and reinsert.That said, it measured temperature accurately and I really enjoy it's functionality. The temperature alarm is a godsend. Minimum temperature for food on the back is printed in Fahrenheit and I'm a Celcius man.

The switch on the side is very stiff (I have broken fingernails trying to move it!) but otherwise it's a great little unit. Only improvement would be a clip or something on the probe for using it on a pot of candy/liquid/etc.

Aucun reproche à formuler, ce thermomètre avec alarme est simple d'utilisation et fonctionne tel qu'on peut s'y attendre : la température "cible" est ajustée à l'aide des boutons "plus" ou "moins", la sonde est enfoncée au centre de l'aliment avant d'enfourner, puis le boitier génère une alarme lorsque la température interne de l'aliment est atteinte. Cuisson telle que désirée à tout coup!
