These fittings are definitely top flight but sheerness and stretch are not factors. Maybe for the tubing that they are used with. Fittings are definitely well made , seal well and good tubing retention.

I'll never waste my time jackin with the plastic fittings again. These are reliable, durable, predictable, and don't leak like a fitting should..... unlike plastic. You get what you pay for.... joint failure if you use plastic connectors.

Good quality fittings
These seem to be better quality than the plastic fittings I replaced (which I could not get to seal in a vacuum system). Use some Teflon tape (or something) to seal the threads of course.
