Dow Corning 4 Composé isolant électrique 5,3 oz (150 g)

I used to use this normally at my previous job as an A&P Mechanic. This was mostly used on door seals and any other seals/moving parts. It lubricates and conditions the rubber (Both closed and open cell) and acts like a water repellent. I have since moved on to become an engineer so my direct involvement has gone down unfortunately. But I recent bought a CPO truck and just wanted to make sure it lasts for many years. I bought this tube and put it on all my door seals and even the wire tubes for the doors and the doors actually open and close much easier which is impressive as the truck only has 26,000 miles on it. I have since put this on the door and sun roof seals of my girlfriends 02 CRV and it again helped with the movement and cut down on some wind noise. **NOTE** If you do put this on door seals or any other parts, you DO NOT need a lot. Just enough to get a slight sheen, there is no need to cake it on. All you will do is waste it. Aside from rubber conditioning this is also a great dielectric grease when you need one.

I use this a lot in my job so it's perfect to have my dedicated tube in the top drawer of my toolbox. I have no complaints.

Works as it should but tube oozes product no matter how tightly capped. My previous tube was acquired when I worked for a commuter airline back in 1972 so I expect this one will severely out live me!

I first bought a large tube at a surplus store in about 1966. It is just now nearly gone. When I went online looking for it, I really did not expect to find it. It is great for electrical connections, replacing bulbs in cars, and to lubricate valves in sinks and tubs. It does not seem to get washed away by hot or cold water. Very happy to have found that it is still available. It does not take much to do the job, so this tube should last a long time too.

Used this product per the recommendation of an Access Point vendor with Outdoor WiFi models installed in a freezer. The initial install without the Dow corning failed within a month with ice buildup in the Ethernet port compartment. RMA'd units are still going 2+ years with the compound installed properly.

I had a water intrusion failure on a difficult to reach antenna so am now using this to weatherproof my connections. Used in inside the SO-239 and on its threads before screwing on the PL-259 connector. This fills in all of the gaps inside to displace water that wants to get inside. I did find that you don’t want the stuff on any of the exposed SO-239 as it is slippery and makes installing 3M 130C rubber splicing tape a bit difficult as the tape cannot adhere to the SO-239, so be sure to clean excess off.

After extensive research involving reviewing specifications of different types of dielectric grease , I decided this would be the best choice in a CPU socket for condensation protection with sub ambient cooling. So far, it is working flawlessly. No sign of it migrating out. I even tried a heat gun on a small mounded sample, and it kept it's shape.

Product worked well and as designed. Di-electric gel is supposed to be applied sparingly, the tip on this container makes that difficult, it puts out a dollop, not a tiny line. A better application tip would be an improvement.

I have been using this stuff for years. I use a little dab on my spin on oil filter gaskets. Make some come off real easy they don’t stick.
