Nht C Series C-3 Premium Sealed Box 3-Way Bookshelf Speaker, Single, High Gloss Black

I’ve owned NHT speakers for 20 years now. Been through several upgrades and this is my 3rd Center Channel speaker. It is by far the best of all. Research found it rated to be one of the top ten centers. The larger 6” woofers combined with the fact this is actually a 3-way speaker (instead of only 2-way like many others) make for a really prominent sound stage. If you know how important a good center speaker is to a surround system, you won’t be disappointed. I will add that I was really pleased to find this available on Amazon. It was sold out (even on NHT Home Site) and Amazon price was about $100 less than any other vendor. This is a beautiful speaker with great performance at a reasonable price

This speaker sound good, it’s great in music and beyond my expectation in many ways.

First off, I'm a NHT reseller, but don't let that lead you to believe that my feedback is not genuine. I purchased a pair of the new C Series C-4 Floor Standing Towers earlier this year. To say I love them is an understatement. I have a small home theater in my workshop/man cave. This is not an ideal setup; however, when I have friends and family over for movies, they are all blown away at the sound. I receive compliments all the time and it's not uncommon for folks to state it sounds much better than a movie theater. (I believe that is 100% true.) The C-4's are awesome, but I also have four Classic Three's, a Three C center speaker, two B-12d Subwoofers, and a pair of IW4's all powered by a single Denon receiver. When you hear something classy like the beginning of Star Wars, these speakers really shine and give you goose bumps. They are super clear and to my ear are outstanding. The piano black is gorgeous! NHT Speakers are awesome and their customer support is stellar. I like them so much that I only sell/install them. Why would I be so biased? Speakers are very subjective. Everyone hears differently. So far out of all of my installs, EVERYONE has been overly happy with the sound and look. When you can have that kind of reaction from customers, why bother with anything else? Not to jump off topic, but I have installed numerous NHT architectural (in-wall/in-ceiling) speakers and all the sound from these installs always surprises me. It's hard to convince a customer that architectural speakers will sound great; however, when they try it, they are astounded at the sound. NHT has never let me down, which is why I am a big fan. It's awesome to have a product that at this point I have 100% customer satisfaction and zero damaged speakers. Take a chance, you will not regret this purchase!

What a disappointment with the NHT C4 speakers. Really had high hopes for the C4’s. The sound is terrible compared to my 20 year old NHT speakers. Is it because now they are made in China vs the USA. You are better off with the SuperOne speakers, a lot more clarity and detail.

I use these for near-field listening on a desktop setup, the piano black finish makes them look much more premium than similarly priced bookshelf speakers, which use fake wood veneer. They are powered by a Fosi V3 amp (Opa2604 op-amps) and a Topping Dx7s dac. To my ears, these sound great, and the sound signature is overall pretty neutral. The sealed design of these speakers greatly reduces the bass quantity, and songs known for their bass will sound flat in comparison to ported speakers. However, when paired with a subwoofer, these will beat most of the similarly priced bookshelf speakers, whether they are paired with or without a subwoofer. This is probably because of the advantages of the sealed design, which sacrifices bass amount but enhances the overall performance of other frequencies. Overall, I would only recommend you buy these if you plan on adding a subwoofer or if you aren't big on bass anyway.
