This kit is THE BEST I have found so far. There are links to videos showing the stitches making this really easy for my 11 year old to learn. I love that the yarn is cotton!! My daughter actually has been making barbie clothes for her dolls!! It's beautiful seeing her confidence grow and her create skirts, shirts and even swapping colors! Thank-you so much! I cannot wait to see what else you offer!! I will 1000% be buying again! I plan to get my bestie one for her oldest and middle kids so they can begin creating! 🥰🥰 I'll add some pictures later! I am a true beginner. The directions are super easy. When I first started, I complained that making a dishcloth wasn't exciting. The first pattern was super basic and bored me to death. But I kept on, and I learned to make my stitches more even in tension. I started my next dishcloth. It taught me a new stitch pattern. I still was unimpressed with the fact that I was only making a dishcloth. Same for dishcloth #3. By the time I got halfway through dishcloth #4, I realized I had perfected my tension, and I had learned to increase and decrease stitches. Learning is a journey and I am glad I didn't skip the steps. I have ordered a book with simple projects for beginners. I am glad I bought this and would recommend it.

I wanted to learn how to knit so I got this. It is good for the price and I was able to use it. The issue I had was that the instructions at times were confusing and I went to you tube for better ones and the yarn was pretty hard to work with as it kept splitting and the yarn had knots in it where they tied it together to make a bigger skein. I do like the wood needles better than a metal one as the wood grab and holds the yarn better. My suggestion is go to Hobby Lobby, get some good yarn and use you tube for directions. It will be easier for you.

I had never knit before but wanted to learn and thought this kit was really adorable so bought it with high hopes. Those hopes began to fizzle as soon as I read the instructions which left me completely lost. Fortunately, I have a couple friends who knit, so they started to teach me. I knew I was struggling with both the yarn and the needles, but thought it was just me. I was relieved, though frustrated, to learn from my friends that the yarn was of inferior quality and the needles difficult to work with. The yarn splits very easily and the needles are too long and stiff to work with. So, I don't want to waste the money, so I'm persevering but not really enjoying the hobby yet. Hopefully, I'll learn the basics and then get proper yarn and needles. So, don't get sucked in by the pretty pastel appearances like I did... This is not the best kit for beginners and maybe even pros.

I have exactly 0 knowledge about knitting and related crafts. Not 1 iota of knowledge resides in my brain about any of them. BUT I really wanted to learn and this is literally the easiest and most helpful started I’ve ever had. I have the cutest little dish cloth now that I made! And I literally can’t stop knitting now so be warned it’s REALLY fun!

I am brand new to knitting. As you can see, the needles are warped after just making this one dishcloth. And making this dishcloth was an ordeal. The yarn was extremely difficult to work with, you can see all the loose threads in my work. As I was knitting, the yarn continued to split, making this very hard for someone who is trying to learn from scratch. Maybe it’s a skill issue, but I can proudly say my stitches are pretty tight and solid. I get it’s 100% cotton which is good for a project like dishcloths, but jeez maybe this isn’t the best starter project then (but I can imagine knitters of any skill level would be frustrated with this yarn). For a beginner set, I wasn’t expecting stuff that’s of the highest quality, but I at least thought I could get a few uses without it causing such a headache. I will be investing in better needles and yarn.

This is a Christmas gift so I can't really comment although the set looks very nice and a recommendation I received was for natural yarn & this yarn is cotton wool.

Loved the cotton yarn. Granddaughter found it ok to use. The bamboo needles aren’t as slippery as metal which makes it less easy to slide the yarn along them. But overall a lovely gift with nice pattern suggestions.

Instructions are nice and easy for a beginner. If you can't understand it by reading the directions then you are sure to get it by watching the videos. Very nice little kit. The amount of yarn was a bit smaller than I had hoped but that was my bad for not reading description. There should be enough to get 3 dishcloths, one from each color for sure, maybe one more. I'm only half way through my first one though so hard to tell. Nice intro into 4 different patterns.

Why would one want to knit a dishcloth you'd ask. But hey, why not, right, it is creAtive. Adult life is boring, one knits dishcloths to brighten it up.

The kit arrived in a very cute package. The yarns and stitches are perfect for a beginner. Nice colors also! I like the instruction brochure with the YouTube links so I could go and look at the video since I don’t understand much I’m not English. I find it very cute also as idea for a future present!!
