ADC Adscope 618

This is such a cute stethoscope, so helps with my smallest clients. The sound I hear through it is sufficient. I am used to using a Littman for adults (actually I’m currently using an EKO), so I’ve gotten use to the “big guns”, but considering the size and the fact that this is solely acoustic (no electronics), I can hear through it great! Very lightweight, too.

I have used this for years. Works well and both kids and parents love the animal designs.

This is a great stethoscope! I currently use an MDF classic cardiology (best acoustics I have found in a stethoscope) and needed a pediatric stethoscope for my job as a pedi nurse and for clinicals for furthering my nursing degree. I am shocked by the quality of lung sounds with this stethoscope. Very good! Diaphram has to be on skin and make sure your eartips are sealed good. Would I use this in cardiac ICU- yes, as a distraction. However heart sounds are soft to auscultation (after using a cardioscope for so long) so would need a bell and feel more comfortable with reliability of a stethoscope with a bell. I would use this for lung sounds in any setting. As long as you are auscultating correctly (on skin, sealed eartips, avoiding rubbing of tubing and thus artifact noise) this is a quality product! Would buy again and again! Just received it so cant comment on longevity or if tubing is stained by scrubs or cleaning wipes, but the distraction of the diaphram itself is worth the mere $40 spent! Quality product for great price!!

I work with kids at a children's hospital and this stethoscope is great!! The kids love to look at it and it always brings a smile to their face, making assessments easier to complete, espcially on the "wild ones" LOL. The little pop on faces are adorable and stay in place. I clean it before and after each use with Clorox wipes. The bleach has had NO effect on the product. This stethoscope's sound quality is just as good as my Littman Cardiology I used when I cared for adults. The ear pieces are VERY comfortable and allow for great listening. Great buy, I get lots of comments and compliments on this at work. I am asked "where did you buy that" almost daily! A must have for anyone who works with kids. Great quality and super adorable. I'm a Pediatric ICU nurse and this works excellent on my little ones. On some of the larger, almost adult sized kiddos though, this doesn't quite do the trick. Overall though, I don't have any issues with sound quality. Material wise, the interchangeable animals is so awesome. I'm in love. It helps with my assessments for some of the fussier ones which is partly why I got it. I'd give it five stars if only I the tubing didn't become almost sticky in texture from sanitizing it with the alcohol pads and the sanitizing wipes we have at work. It tends to pull a but in loose hairs when around my neck and the color from my scrubs has worn into the material. No amount of cleaning thus far had removed it. If you know how to remove the stains please let me know in a comment on this review. Overall this is a really great stethoscope I highly recommend for pedi nurses out there.
