Citadel Nuln Oil 24ml - Games Workshop

This stuff is mythical, it works well as a wash over practically every mini I paint to put a level of grime and definition on every detail. It is great for painting Warhammer miniatures or DND miniatures to give contrast to the recessed areas of the model and add some dynamic elements to larger areas of a solid color on big minis. The only problem is I use it so much I buy this frequently! I wish it came in a bigger size, but the value is there in this product. It makes painting minis easy mode.

I do hate that it’s so easy to knock over the pot but the quality, value for the money, and color results are undeniable. Will really bring out the recesses of your model, giving it a life like quality.

I love the Citadel shades. I have used a few different colors for models that I have painted. They look great and flow so easily. I know there are ways to make inexpensive washes but I get a lot if mileage out of a bottle and I get consistent color and flow this way.

Depending on your needs, this is a good wash to add contrast for your miniatures.

Use this paint if you want your models to look more realistic. It will turn a highly saturated paint job into a darker more realistic model. Great for hobbyists. However be careful when opening it as it can easily spill everywhere. I'm giving it four instead of 5 because it's overpriced for what is essentially watered down paint.

I am a huge fan of the citadel paint line and use the shade applications for every model I paint, but Nuln Oil is the gold standard of shading. There is not a single model in my collection that does not have Nuln Oil on it. This shader provides incredible realism in one light coat.
