How well insulated is it? Will this keep my laptop safe in an extremely hot car?

I don't know if a laptop will be safe in this insulted bag in an extremely hot car. The bag is designed to not catch on fire.

is the surface sticky as is the case with some fireproof bags>

I don't know about other fireproof bags, but this one is not sticky. It feels like vinyl with a little bit of texture to it.

Does this have to be open every few weeks to prevent mildew? Some boxes do and the items in my current hard box smell terrible. Looking to replace.

I had the very same problem with my metal safe/box. The mildew smell was awful. I don’t have an issue with the bag, but be sure the articles going INTO the bag have been totally aired.
