Brabantia Universal Replacement Ironing Board Felt Padding Underlay

This pad was just thick and "springy" enough to add the right surface to my ironing board. Use this under your regular cover. I had a pretty pad/cover but the padding just wasn't enough. The open texture of the metal board beneath sometimes came through, especially when really PRESSING items. This was easy to cut with good sewing shears. Recommendation: cut a little larger than you think you need. You can always trim off more. I went back and trimmed a little extra at the tip to make it fit well under my board cover.

This is a must have for your Ironing board. Before I applied this, I could feel the metal of the Ironing board when I was Ironing. This Brabantia felt underlay makes it easier to Iron in less time. I'm thankful that I have really sharp scissors, because the felt is thick. I do own the Brabantia Ironing board in a size "D" ...When you go to cut this. Turn the Ironing board upside down and lay the board on the felt and trace around it with a thin marker. I like to add about a 1/2 inch more, when cutting, to cover the sides of the Ironing board.

I actually love to iron. I know in the world of normal folk that is an unusual trait. I even started at a young age, helping a neighbor who brought in ironing to make money. I've learned about how to iron things properly and have gadgets to iron sleeves and cuffs, etc. I own 3 irons. With all this said, you know my ironing board is IMPORTANT to me. It was time to replace my padding and get a new cover (just because). I read reviews and checked online and it all lead my to the Brabantia. Why hadn't I heard of this company before? So I purchased the felt pad and waited a couple of days in expectation until it arrived. I immediately opened the package and set it up. I found it easy to do. Just lay the felt on the floor (a clean floor of course), lay your folded up iron on top, mark it's boarders, then cut out. A perfectly sized pad for your board. Of course I had to test is immediately. If one could actually describe an ironing experience as sublime, this was it. It was the perfect thickness and firmness to facilitate an easy ironing experience. I happily, and quickly finished my ironing task, folded up the board, and now look forward to my next basket of laundry!

The felt underlay pad is well constructed, lays flat and is even. When the cotton cover is put on over it there are no lumps. It stands up to the heat of the iron. I was glad to be able to find it. I originally bought the over-wide Italian ironing board with cover at Bed, Bath and Beyond some years ago. The old felt underpad had worn out. I wish the cotton cover I had ordered separately at the same time had come. That's is a big disappointment. I will have to try to order it again. This pad is made oversized for the Brabantia ironing board but it can easily be cut to fit the narrower American ironing boards.

A few years ago, I traded in my wobbly ironing board for a heavy, sturdy and EXCELLENT one from Brabantia. Of course, it needed to be properly outfitted with a pad and a cover. The first one I purchased has now worn out and I replaced it with another from Brabantia, only this time I added a thick polyester felt pad. You cut it to fit your particular board (by tracing it) and secure it by tightening the cover. Fits like a dream and really improves the ironing experience and outcome. Call me a nerd; I don't mind.

It's a tad shocking to see a price for an ironing board pad that is approaching twenty dollars, but once you get this pad in your hand and feel it, you can begin to see the difference between a typical felt pad and this thick and supple pad. Brabantia is a Dutch company that is well known in Europe, but you won't commonly run across Brabantia products in the US. This thick and flexible pad is made of viscose (a fabric material related to rayon), and it is thick enough to form a very good layer underneath your ironing board cover, but breathable enough to work well with steam ironing. You simply cut the pad to your own size using a strong pair or scissors, and then affix your cover over it. I would not have given it five stars because of the price, but once I received it and used it with my Brabantia ironing board cover, I can easily give it a five star rating.

This fit my ironing board perfectly with very little cutting to size. It is nice and thick. High quality materials!

I bought this ironing board pad as a support for my existing (flimsy) ironing board cover. The problem with a bad cover is that you don't get a good press and sometimes the metal hatching shows through on the garment. I sew and need to constantly press my seams. There seemed to be some confusion in the reviews I read. The instructions included with the pad make no sense as there was no elastic or thread to adjust the width. I've attached photos of how I fit the cover to my ironing board. 1. I placed my ironing board on top of the pad and drew a line in line around it. 2. I cut the pad along this line then placed the pad on top of my ironing board. 3. I used my existing (flimsy, cheap) ironing board cover over the pad and then adjusted the my cover to fit my ironing board. The whole process took under ten minutes and I'm very happy with the performance! Makes it much easier to create crisp lines and press garments more quickly.

Fit perfectly over our size D brabantia ironing board frame. Minor trimming needed for a perfect fit. Makes ironing a lot more comfortable and better results. Very happy with the purchase.

Innanzitutto adoro i prodotti Brabantia. Ne ho acquistato diversi, mi sono sempre travata benissimo e questo mollettone non è da meno. Dopo un primo doppio acquisto per le assi di casa ne ho comprato anche un terzo anche per mia madre. Questo mollettone è spesso e bello resistente e si adatta facilmente, basta infatti ritagliarlo e renderlo a misura della propria asse da stiro.

Avec le temps, ma table à repasser avait pris pour habitude d'imprimer un motif magnifique sur tous mes vêtements à cause du grillage métallique qui compose son plateau... Vous voyez le genre j'imagine ! D'où l'achat de cet article. Ce produit est génial ! Vraiment plus que ça même, et je m'explique. Facile à mettre en place, il se découpe facilement et s'adapte ainsi aux dimensions de votre table. Il procure une épaisseur agréable au repassage, un moelleux sous le fer vraiment appréciable. Bien sûr, il a stoppé net les tatouages façon grillage sur mes vêtements, mais il a aussi donné une sacré plus value à ma table à repasser (cheap, mais que j'adore). Au final, il vous permet de repasser dans de meilleures conditions, d'éviter la condensation sous la housse, voire qui dégouline sur le sol ou qui mouille vos vêtements. Plus de 3 mois que je l'ai installé sous la housse (d'origine) de ma table à repasser, et cela n'a pas bougé d'un millimètre. Toujours aussi agréable, toujours aussi moelleux, et toujours aussi efficace. Pour une dizaine d'euros, il n'y a pas à se poser de question(s), c'est l'achat idéal. J'approuve, j'adhère, et je recommande !
