I must say that I was scared to invest in an infrared mat, but I had read about the benefits of infrared light and I also wanted to find a way to get the benefits of a sauna session without getting one at home due to high EMF. I am amazed by this product. I have been using it twice a week and I have NOTHING bad to say. I would suggest to really take it seriously and READ the book that comes with it that states the science, benefits, how to use it and warnings. It is a long read, but it is necessary to be 100% informed. It is definitely hard to understand that alternative medicine is better because we are not used to it, but this mat has saved us. I mainly use it on 65 C post work out twice a week or after a long physical day before bed and it completely relaxes me, doesn't make me sweat, but that is not my main goal, and it recharges me. Pain I have felt in different areas on my body have gotten better by using this mat and I can definitely feel it working on me. The best set up is to prepare your space before laying on the mat, it does bring you to another level of healing. Always keep in mind that the mind and the body are connected and to get the full benefits, make time for it. I started using it on my bed, but it was hard to really get it to warm up because once you get ON the mat, it has to heat the mattress too. Adding weight didn't help for the mat to keep a nice temperature because it sinks into the mattress so it has to heat the area under it too. My advice is to use it on the floor. I put it on the floor, underneath I put a blanket and a yoga mat to help it not get dirty and I put a towel on top, 100% cotton XL, to wrap myself in and I plug it in. I use a pillow and another blanket on top to help the heat circulate around my torso. The problem with not containing the heat is that it will take forever for it to get hot, you have to create your own love cave and help keep it warm or hot. It also helps to get on the mat once you turn it on because your body heat can also help the mat get warm faster. I recommend, like the book says, to keep it gradual, do not go maximum heat the first time or for a long time because you WILL feel it. I did it once thinking it wasn't a big deal since I didn't feel like I was burning, but the power of detoxing is strong and I REALLY FELT it. Great advice if you go up on temperature is to hydrate. BEFORE and AFTER. I have the mini mat so the first 30 min while it is heating up I like to turn on N.P and then,use the rest of the time, till 1 hour hits, to just let the heat and infrared light do its work. I would suggest BEFORE leaving a review or giving up on this mat to actually give it time. There is no real change if we expect any device to cure us after ONE use, this mat should be considered as an addition to your healthy lifestyle. I didn't know if it was going to "work" (whatever that means) but it has worked on me. I have recovered from some serious changes in my body due to fasting and I can guarantee this mat is a lifesaver. I do appreciate that it came in a case to protect it, some extra protection on top of the mat and the booklet that tells you all the information you need, an amethyst bracelet and a thank you card with customer service information. It shows that this is a company that really cares about their customers and they believe in their product. They understand that this is an investment and that it is not an everyday buy, so they take it seriously. I believe in the power of healing with crystals, light and heat, and I believe this mat is changing my life. The more I use it, the better I feel and it shows. I know everyone is most interested in the actual product when they read reviews, but you have to know about the level of customer service this seller provides. After dealing with a few customer-caused issues, I can honestly say that I have never dealt with a more relevantly responsive company, and every interaction has been handled with better-than-expected responses. This is a customer service model, like Amazon is a logistics model - outstanding. THE PRODUCT: The mat is of a high quality construction and shows no signs of wear after a few months of daily use. The controller unit is intuitive - easy to use, and seems sturdy. My mat came with two covers. The thicker of the two covers is not wearing out, even after several washings, but the thinner cover is pretty fragile, and the outer layer of material is developing tears after washing. I talked to the company about this, and they said that cover was not designed to be washed, and they are developing a new version of it that will be machine-washable that they will send me when it is available. MY EXPERIENCE: I have used this mat in two ways: as a therapy session and as a foundation for sleeping at night. As many have observed, this is not a soft mat (not like foam rubber), and I prefer the therapy session approach. I am not using it on my bed anymore. My health concerns are not as dramatic as many, so I do not have the same level of contrast to describe as others. It feels good on the back, and seems to loosen it up. I have been lazy and just turned it on and rested on it, and I have followed the advice on this website to drink water before and after a session. Take the advice - drink the water and get the full benefit. You pay a lot of money for this device, so don't skimp on the conditions that make it work optimally for you. SUMMARY: Great company with exemplary service, a high-quality and sturdy product that appears capable of years of service and provides a tangible improvement in well-being - well worth the money.

This mat is a Life Changer! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!!!!! We bought the Single (XL) 75"L x 39"W. I wish to start by first saying that the customer service this company provided has been off the charts. I have never rec’d such prompt and detailed responses from another company in all my years. I found the company to be extremely helpful and very caring as I asked my many questions throughout the weeks. I had researched (very thoroughly!) infrared mats for about two weeks and decided upon this mat. I was a bit nervous to order it because I have never ordered from this company before. So this ended up being my first purchase from Ereada. Due to the unmatched customer service (can you tell Cust. Srvc. is important to me?!), I now own other items from Ereada. The mat has been a gamer changer…a life changer. I have fibromyalgia. And once I lie down on this mat, within minutes I can feel the difference in my back and neck (where my intense pain resides). It no longer exists for the next several hours (when I am still on the mat or off of the mat and walking around). And that is such a relief for a person with chronic pain. I find that I also fall asleep quite quickly once the heat kicks in. We have had numerous family and friends try it. All have truly enjoyed the benefits from it. This product seems to do what physical therapy, multiple back-stretching exercises, walking & other things couldn't do for my near 2-year muscular back strain - provide longer-term relief w/repeated use. I began using in early May '18 and really cut back 90% on my back exercises & walking. The spot in my back that muscular strain continues to improve and is probably 80% better w/daily use of this infrared heating pad up to 2-3 hours per day. Granted, I've always had back pain (started when I was very young) - but my main concern is functionality and structural soundness without specifically the left-mid back strain not continually getting tweaked and retweaked. I can now help w/lifting and moving things & bending over without that spot hurting or instantly being activated w/the straining/pulling sensation. About a month ago I went 4 days without using the heating pad and my back was still 80% better. This tells me in my opinion that w/continual and longer-term use that this 'hot-stone' therapy is going much deeper into my larger back muscles and tissue than traditional massage or other short-term solutions. I'll continue to use it and when I need a new one - judging from the excellent customer support thus far, I'll simply get another one down the road. Although initially pricey at $400 USD - long-term this seems like an excellent value with good warranty and U.S. based customer phone and email support. Bravo! I never ever thought heating pads had evolved and up 'til ordering this one I was using small and medium regular heating pads and they offered an hour or so of relief - but not the 'deep' relief I am getting now nor for any sustainable period of time. I'm glad I looked into this product and bougtht a high-quality infrared heating pad (and I learned something new reading the excellent and informative brochure that comes w/the product). You can even travel w/it as it comes with a traveling bag. Brilliant!

This is a very enjoyable product. On the one hand, it is soothing to feel the infra-red heat penetrate your sore muscles and joints, but on the other hand it's good to know that electrical radiation is minimized. I don't know what the amethyst crystals do, but I like the concept of gem therapy. I have different injuries to my lower back and to my knee and calf (discs, soft tissue, hematoma respectively). I tend to lay on the mat at full setting for about ¾ of an hour to a full hour or slightly more. I don't want to overheat, so then I get up. I could contemplate using a lower setting and staying longer, but I haven't done that yet and I want the most immediate intense effect. Now, the mat is hard, you are laying on amethyst jewels. It is not soft and cushy. I like it for therapeutic lengths of time. A massage therapist friend introduced me to the mat on a scuba trip (that's a real friend), and other health practitioners have since told me they have the mat too: it's a great form of penetrating infrared heat without all the radiation of a heating pad. I am ordering a mini mat for travel. The owner of the company has been accessible for questions. I recommend the product for my personal reasons. I have not had a chance to use as a sauna, but am sure I will love it. Was surprised how heavy it is. I need my husband to help me move it

1st I do not write a lot of reviews. LOVE LOVE LOVE this mat. I own a grooming salon for dogs and cats. We have only had the mat for a short time and I am already looking at purchasing more. Right now we are offering free trials when supplied with feedback. The few dogs we've experimented on seem to do well. I HIGHLY recommend this mat for anxious animals! We bathe a rat terrier that constantly digs to china while he's in the kennel, we have to vet wrap his paws to keep from getting bloody, we put him on the mat on 45 for 30 min and he just laid down and was calm. I texted his dad the next day and he said Elvis was noticeably calmer that evening. I also used it on a geriatric husky mix with arthritis, the owner didn't tell me he suffered from anxiety, and the owner called the next morning to tell me how incredibly calm Strider had been throughout the night and next morning. Wondering if the anxious behavior had anything to do with pain. Also had a human client with a migraine , she didn't have a lot of time (20 mins),she said it didn't completely take the pain away but definitely took it down a bit. Even my Mom said she felt better after using it. Hopefully I remember to update this review. Post trials we will be offering this as an ad on service.

It is a good product but I made a mistake ordering a size that way too big for our bed that leave not much room for my tall and big husband to sleep on and it is too too heavy and hurt my arthritis hands to make adjustments the position. So I returned it. Over all it is a great product and I noticed the mat did soothing my legs pain after using it, but unfortunately it is way too large for my bed and it is too heavy painful for my hands if I need to make adjustments.
