I buy the book and the beads, what else will I need?

You'll need the peg boards and an iron.

What specific product of beads should i buy that will have all the colors in this book?

Get the Perler beads big jug of beads. I think it has 14,000 or more beads total in assorted colors. The upside is you get a lot of beads at a good price. The down side is you will spend a lot of time sorting them.

Does the book come with spare pages so I can draw my own pattern?

No. All the pages are filled with patterns.
