It's not only a book, it's a new way of thinking, approaching projects and creatng the right mindset to succeed. A stimulus to reflection, a drive to challenge yourself, your limits, your procrastination, and your fears. Whether you're overcoming, student syndrome or expanding your Parkinson's time, you'll hear Andrew's voice pushing you toward action. Review: Best PMP prep book out there - This is a fantastic resource for the PMP exam, and it is the reason that I passed my PMP last week with 3 “above target” scores. The book is very well written. Descriptions of the required material are concise. Chapters are 10-15 pages, which makes each easy enough to read and digest in one sitting. A test exam of 20-25 questions follows each chapter. There are plenty of exam tips sprinkled throughout to help with tough or easily confused topics, such as explaining the difference between the Control Quality and Verify Quality processes. There is also a 180-question mock exam at end of the book. The most useful part of the book, though, is the section where Andrew discusses the “mindset” needed to pass the test. The concepts here are crucial. For example, be a servant leader at all times, remove impediments that your team faces, solve problems head-on, make decisions yourself and don’t defer to the sponsor, etc. Grasping these ideas is key to passing the exam. The book comes with access to Andrew’s online video course, which you can use to satisfy the required 35 hours of training before registering for the exam. In addition to this book, I highly recommend Andrew’s new online Exam Simulator (google "tia pmp exam simulator”). It’s a separate purchase, but well worth the expense. The simulator contains 6 mock exams of 60 questions each, and each question has a video explanation where Andrew shows how to analyze the response choices and choose the correct answer. The video ties it all back to the “mindset”. These questions are very similar to what I saw on the exam. There are a couple of minor drawbacks to this book, but they are not serious enough to detract from a 5-star rating. First, there are a number of typos in the book and also some formatting issues. The index is off by about 5 pages throughout the entire book, for example the index entry for “earned value” refers to page 206, but the topic actually is on page 201. And the glossary is missing many key terms. Bottom line: get this book if you want to pass the PMP.

Also passed PMP on first try
Like previous reviewers, i am thrilled that i was able to pass the PMP on my first try. Agree with others that the mindset the author encourages, and study tips were invaluable. I wish i had accessed his book and videos sooner - probably would have saved myself a lot of time. Instead i took the PMI online course which left me woefully unprepared for the exam (and eas super boring). That’s when i turned to this book. Agree that reading PMBOK and Agile Practice guide also essential. I also subscribed to PMI Study Hall, which provides 5 practice tests and hundreds of practice questions. I found the practice questions in the book and in PMI’s Study Hall far harder than the exam itself. Feedback for improvement on this book: - agree that the book needs more editing. I have led many projects involving technical guides, and we always planned for technical editing, language editing, and then a final read through from the technical editor to ensure that the language editor did not introduce any mistakes. It’s worth the effort. - most of the formulas he says to memorize are not quizzed on the PMI practice questions. The book devotes a lot of pages to critical path, which appeared on very few practice questions. This guide needs to be further updated to reflect PMI changes and include even more on Agile. - agree that it’s helpful to memorize the 49 processes, but i wish he would provide more explanation why this is important and how it will help one pass the exam. My conclusion was that it was helpful to understand the whole picture and all the parts, but I’m not clear why it’s important to memorize it. I’m not questioning it, just wish more explanation was provided. Thanks again for a readable guide that got me into the zone, and helped me understand the concepts on a much deeper level. My comments are shared in the spirit of continuous improvement. I still highly recommend this book and grateful I got my PMP.

Highly recommended book for PMP exam prep
Best book available in the market for PMP. At first, I went through PMBOK guide and Agile books hard to understand the core content as described generalized terms where as PMP Exam Prep Simplified book literally simplified book with simple examples to understand the contents and I was able to pass the PMP exam. For the additional video contents comes with this book, worth the money. I highly recommend this book to those who are planning for PMP certification.

Love this book! Slight water damage.
I've watched a lot of Andrew's content and it is incredibly helpful in practice. Bought the guide and it does not disappoint! The content is easy to understand and perfectly laid out for studying. The only issue is that it came with some water damage on the last 1/4 of the book. The text is readable but the pages and back cover are warped on the edge. The package it was shipped in didn't have damage and the pages were bone dry when I opened it. Perhaps it was damaged before shipping. I'm not returning it because I'm trying to finish my training for the PMP exam this month.

I just passed my PMP exam this afternoon and this book has been the best study and mock up exam reference I’ve read. The concepts are presented in a structured and easy to understand manner. The questions are well tailored and very logical. This book helped me navigate through the tough questions in the exams. This book tells what step should come first and helps me understand the project manager mindset. I’ve tried other books and even the more expensive ones but this is book that I got the most simplified information that I needed to pass the exam.

I recently passed my PMP exam, and Andrew Ramdayal’s book was one of the resources I used along the way. The book is well-structured, comprehensive, and provides a good breakdown of the key concepts aligned with the exam content outline. It’s especially helpful for reinforcing understanding and practicing different question styles. That said, what I personally found even more valuable were Andrew’s YouTube videos, particularly his clear explanations of the PMP exam mindset. His ability to simplify complex scenarios and teach how to “think like PMI”, "assess before action" made a huge difference in my preparation. The combination of the book for content review and his videos for mindset training gave me the balance I needed to feel confident going into the exam. I made my own compilation of notes inspired from this book that can help anyone if they needed. Overall, I would recommend this book as a solid foundation, and suggest pairing it with Andrew's online content for the best results.

PMP Exam Prep Simplified by Andrew Ramdayal is the best resource I used for my PMP journey. The language is extremely simple, the concepts are explained clearly and the examples build the right PMP mindset. I paired the book with Andrew’s Udemy course, Study Hall mini exams, and AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini for quick quizzes — and passed my PMP on the first attempt! Highly recommended for anyone serious about understanding, not just memorizing.

I'm thrilled to share that I recently earned my PMP certification, and I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Andrew Ramdayal for being a truly outstanding instructor. His Udemy courses and PMP Exam Prep book played an instrumental role in my success. What really stood out to me was how Andrew emphasizes cultivating the right mindset, which I found to be the most crucial factor throughout this journey. It's not just about memorizing content, but about thinking like a project manager — understanding the intent behind each question and applying PMI principles with clarity and confidence. The course is exceptionally well-structured, and I greatly appreciated the real-world insights and practical tips shared throughout. One of the most impactful parts for me was the last module, particularly the 200 scenario-based question video on YouTube and the drag-and-drop question module. These resources were incredibly close to the real exam format and gave me the confidence and edge I needed to pass. Andrew’s teaching style is clear, focused, and highly motivational. I cannot recommend his materials enough to anyone preparing for the PMP. Thank you, Andrew, for all the guidance and support through your content — your work truly makes a difference!
