2Pack Coffee Machine Group Head Seal Gasket Replacement for E61 Espresso Coffee Machine 8.5MM Blue Silicon

It's not the first time my Fracino Cherub has started leaking from the group head, I knew exactly what I needed a new seal, after looking at a few on the internet I noticed these silicon rubber seals, I know that silicon rubber can be quite effective in many applications so though lets give these a go.Two in the packet so one spare for next time, these do feel softer than the original rubber seals so was a bit concerned about how far the portafilter would need to be twisted it was already at about 5 o'clock if straight is 6, removing the old seal is quite easy with the Fracino, just unscrew the shower plate and the gently prize off the Filter Holder Washer Locking Plate after that it's just a case of hooking out the old seal with a pick, push the new seal in and put everything back.So first thing I did notice was that the portafilter does move further than the original to around 4 o'clock but it did not leak during making my first cup of coffee, with the second cup I tried to see what happened if I did not turn the handle as far as it would go and just turned it to what would be it's normal position and it did not leak, so no need to twist the handle until it stops as the silicon is softer it seals better I just have to get out of the habit of pushing it until it stops, so far I'm happy with these time will tell on durability I can't see any problems though so I'm happy with these.

Very good idea and much better than the standard ones.

Bought these to replace the original Gaggia one which had gone solid and cracked after many years of use. These are very pliable and make a good seal, resulting in the handle now locking in the front middle position. Hopefully, they will have good endurance but it's reassuring to know that I have a spare so that I don't have to suffer from a lack of good coffee if not.

Bought to replace an 8.5mm cafelat silicone seal but no amount of cajoling make it fit. It remains too tight to actually install a portafilter handle.

I like the product but to give it 5 stars I would have preferred that the fit is a bit better. Generally there is a clear back or front which here is too slight. It took me two good tries to fit it well but it solved my channeling and leaking issues.

Remove the old seal and gasket and fitted the new silicone gasket no problem but the basket doesn't hardly fit anymore, now very difficult to turn. The seal is good no water is leaking for very difficult to use.

Replaced the original seal with one of these and it works fine. No more water leaking out the side.

My Gaggia porta filter could not be inserted anymore. After scratching my head initially, I realised that the Gasket Seal had hardened and expanded. causing the problem. However, it's easily replaced and this one here fits perfectly.
