After reading the reviews of many other cheaper testers, this electronic soil moisture tester appeared to stand out. On receiving it I was very pleased with the quality and although a bit more expensive than others I was glad that I had purchased this one. Two downsides though. Firstly, I had to wait 2 weeks as came in from abroad; this was not a major issue in my case. Secondly, the list of plants and their appropriate soil moisture levels was printed very small on both sides of very thin paper, making it difficult to read, although not impossible. Would recommend this easy to use moisture tester to anyone with potted plants.

I liked that it has a few settings for the dryness and wetness, not just dry or wet. I also liked the fact that you can read it easily and without bending over to see read it. I also liked the booklet it came with that tells you how wet or dry a lot of common plants like to be.

These always read that the soil is very wet even when it is dried up. Don't waste your money on this.

Worked OK initially but tip broke after about a year.
