Medium to high hold. Satin sheen initially but becomes matte throughout the day if you occasionally comb or run your hands through it. Great value because only a small amount is needed. The only downside is that it is very easy to apply too much or unevenly if you are in a hurry, which causes visible globs to form. I recommend using water liberally and not trying to apply it all at once.

This is an amazing gel for my son. We use this daily to style his hair. It smells amazing and holds all day, even through sports and recess in 90 degrees. This product washes out at night with ease and is a staple in our home for over three years.

Gel had worked great. Perfect consistency to out in hair, not too greasy, and especially love no strong chemical odor (biggest complaint about gels). I’ll definitely buy again!!!

I have dark thick straight hair which I cut short during my teenage years and early twenties. It was easy to maintain and only needed very little gel if any to style my hair. Starting in my late twenties, I grew my hair longer and I have experimented through 10-20 types of hair products to style my hair and hold its shape during the day. Some worked great after I had my hair freshly cut, but didn't hold to the task after 2-3 weeks. Others would not hold throughout the day, and my hair would flatten at the end of the day...or worst the product would already start flaking! Three years ago, I changed hairdresser and got my first encounter with Johnny B's hair products. It was not Fuddy, but Mode. I really like Mode at first, but it did not hold through the weeks after I got my hair cut. So I kept experimenting with other products. Last year, the hair salon brought new products from Johnny B, and we tried Fuddy, and it has been the only product I have used since then. And I plan on using it as long as it is available on Amazon (hopefully forever). Fuddy styles my hair the way I want, and leaves matte finish, which I prefer. It hold through the day...and the next day...with no to minimal white flakes! It does get sticky to the hands after application of the product, but washing your hands with soap takes care of it. I really like that I can purchase the 16oz container for cheap on Amazon, and it lasts me a full year. This is the second container I have ordered so far. Very well worth the money!

I was put on to this by a stylist I went to for a hair cut. It's works really well. Just a very small amount goes a long way. So much so, that a jar like this will literally last me a few months. My stylist showed me how she would take just a little dab, get her hands just a little wet, rub them together and then style my hair. I like the fact that it is not heavy at all, not flaky and you can easily rinse it out with no residue. I've been buying this since 2023 and don't plan on changing. I get the jar for home and then the smaller 3.3oz tube for travel.

We’ve used this product for a few years now, and it’s our favorite. I don’t know if they changed the formula, if I got a bad batch, or if it’s the summer heat, but the consistency was really off in my last two orders.

Product smells nice, holds hair exactly where I want it, not stiff or sticky, lasts til next shampoo, luv luv this stuff, product lasts a very long time , I have a short pixie cut, not sure if it's great for long hair tho, depends on the styling I think. I like to push my bangs upward a bit, and it stays
