Dr. Dean Edell Select Bronze Metal 1/2 Rim Rectangular Glass and Case, 1.50

I have been using various glasses from the Dr. Dean Edell line for years. They used to be of MUCH better quality. The price has dropped and so has the longevity. The only problem for me seems to be the hinge point. I love the flexible hinge but it becomes loose. If you try to tighten it, the screw strips out. And good luck getting a new one in. With the spring loaded hinge, it is nearly impossible. If you don't tighten the hinge, it breaks. I have a bag with about 15 pairs that I use to make my "Frankenstein" pairs. But in the end, for $12-17 a pair, they are worth it for me. The lenses are clear and the frames are comfortable. JUST PUT BETTER SCREWS IN THE HINGE!

A bit heavy, but they are OK.

These glasses compared to the $2-3 ones at the big box stores will give you an accurate Rx (1.5, 2.0, etc) and last for years. They don't fall apart, painful to wear or whatever. Spend a little more and get better quality

I bought maybe 5 pairs of these over a couple of years. I now know there are better quality options for a just a few dollars more.For two pairs, the screws fell out quite quickly and are so small they're hard to find and harder to get back in. They don't seem to be machined consistently.

These are good quality for the price. I have a couple of pairs.

I usually buy the one that got discontinued. I bought this one, the frame lost its shape the moment I wore them. Really cheap quality. I am not sure why they discontinued the other one. Really disappointing..I mean it is not that it is so cheap.... it is just 5 dollars less expensive.

The screw holding the side piece to the front lenses came out in less than a week of light use!!!!
