I've been looking for a good, reliable Macadamia Nut cracker for several years. You probably already know how hard (difficult) they are to crack open. We had one a while ago that was spring loaded and very complicated and time consuming to use. This cracker works like a champ. Just put to nut in the "vice" and pull the handle. Couldn't be easier. The place where you put the nut is also adjustable so you can open large or small nuts. Although I would think it's overkill, you could open other nuts as well. However most other nuts don't require the amount of force that Mac's do. And, on top of working so well, it's not very expensive. Fewer moving parts, fewer problems. Now I'm enjoying Macadamia Nuts all the time where before I wouldn't because they were such a pain to open. Definitely worth it if you have Macadamia Nuts.

It's pretty great quality! Shelling pecans without making a mess that somehow gets on the floor is awesome! I love how you can adjust it.

This is a great device! I’m embarrassed to say that I do collect nutcracker tools, and out of all the nutcrackers that I have, this is the one that you can have the most control over the amount of pressure you want to apply to the nut, and it’s the easiest for people who have arthritis. I sure hope it lasts but for now it’s just wonderful :-)

Use it for macadamia nuts. Makes quick work getting to the nut

I have one of these and ordered this one for a gift. This one is not as well made as the as the same I ordered before. This one has a plastic bolt instead of steel so we will see if it holds up. They also screwed the cracker in the box crooked so it looks funny and the wood box has rough spots on it and I have to sand it to fix it. Disappointed it was as good quality as my previous one.

We cracked all the pecans we had in a couple days, a very pleasurable experience.
