Had to add two spices
I bought this hoping to be able to make a nice milk tea, but, I found myself making two cups of tea in order to get the right flavor. I added a bit of nutmeg and a bit of cinnamon to it, and only then was it good tasting. Another reviewer said it tasted like pepper, and, that reviewer was correct. It was very peppery until I added the other two spices to it.

Very Good
I drink a lot of masala tea (chai) and have tried a bunch of tea masalas. Some of them have too much black pepper, such as Everest and Laxmi. I prefer ginger to be the dominant flavor and this Badshah is perfect. 3/4 teaspoon is good for one cup.

Less than ordinary
For a convenient ("semi-home-made") way to make Indian-style masala chai, one will have to keep looking at other tea masalas. I bought this at an Indian grocery store (for approximately one-fourth the current price on Amazon) after reading the ingredients and confirming it had the right spices. However, there is too much, and slightly too coarse, pepper in the mix, overpowering any other ingredient. I will not be able to continue using it. It takes some extra stirrings to mix it all in one's tea.I have made home-made masala chai using the real spices and this mix does not come anywhere close to the blended, soothing, aromatic result obtained that way. I wasn't expecting a lot since this is a pre-packaged masala for tea. But, despite the country of origin being clearly, almost proudly, listed as India on the front of the box, rather than in small print on the back, this appears to have been a slap-dash effort. No thanks. I cannot taste anything other than pepper, and maybe some stale ginger powder. For masala tea, this stuff seems as though someone merely decided to try for some extra revenue by scraping-off some spice powder from packaging machinery and labeling it "tea masala."(I taste fresh-ground cinnamon shortly after taking cinnamon capsules as an herbal supplement. So, it IS possible to package spices so that they reach the consumer in a fresh and passably authentic state.)Another reviewer suggested trying this on chicken. That's a nice idea, since this particular blend seems more compatible with foods that do better erring on the saltier side, or kicked-up a notch. But, still, this mix really lacks even that "fresh pepper" flavor.

Not quite what I was expecting
I was trying to find a masala blend to use in my chai tea -- this is not quite what I was looking for -- it's okay to use a pinch in a pinch and with added cinnamon, allspice, etc.... but alone the flavor isn't right. However it is a great spice blend to add to chicken or other food/stew dishes.

I LOVE THIS!
I LOVE THIS!!!!!!! And would be heart-broken if some reason I couldn't get it anymore! It is very spicy, that is what I LOVE ABOUT IT. I add this to my cup of Puerh tea. If you make your tea (preferably black) with milk and add a pinch of this at the end. IT'S DELICIOUS! Just don't overdo it, one box can last a long time. I personally don't like the taste of generic western chai tea, that tastes like cinnamon. This is much more AUTHENTIC.
