When you receive this lids the plugs are not inserted in the lids. You can’t insert anything into this lids but what is provided to you with these lids. If you insert a stainless steel straw into lids you will have to cut the lid first to insert the straw which will Damage the lid. I recommend if you are looking for a lid that you won’t to use with a straw then purchase a lid that states that. These lids aren’t use for that purpose.
