keeps knifes sharp
I've been using the DMT FWFC DuoSharp Double-Sided Diamond Sharpening Stone for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed! It makes sharpening my kitchen knives super easy and efficient. I love that it’s double-sided, so I can switch between grits without any hassle. Definitely a must-have for anyone looking to keep their knives in top shape!

Great little sharpener
This sharpener works great for quick touch ups to get a good working edge and is small enough to store anywhere. (Hunting pack, tackle box, etc) This sharpener is not intended for you to sit down and sharpen an entire kitchen set so keep that in mind this is more of an on the go sharpener.

Good sharpener
I have several sharpening systems, from quality water-stones, ceramic, older oil stones, leather strops, etc. The water-stones are my favorite, but I only use when I have several items to sharpen since they can be a bit messy--hence my purchase of this diamond sharpener. The first thing I sharpened was a very dull pair of large scissors (paper or fabric shears)--something difficult to do with water-stones. The diamond worked very well. A few strokes on the coarse and then a few swipes with the fine, and I had restored it back to being usable. The only negative (in my mind--it may not be a concern to others) is that I would have like the "coarse" to be "coarser" I'll be using this DMT file on garden tools, etc. and I would have preferred a coarser grind. I like the fact that these fold and can be put in the pocket and used outside when using garden clippers,. For my woodworking tools I'll stay with the water-stones. I can see a future purchase of a very coarse flat diamond sharpener--something I would use to quickly establish a bevel on a damaged chisel or plane blade, then switch to water stones for the final polishing steps.

A Good Double SIded Sharpener
This DMT sharpener is a nice, useful double sided tool. The plastic handles do seem a bit flimsy; time will tell if they hold up to regular use. Some plastics are quite tough.

Perfect General Sharpening Stone
If you're only going to have one stone for keeping a handful knives sharp, this is probably the best product you're going to find. This is what I recommend to friends and family when they invariably ask me what to get after I sharpen their knives. What this product isn't: a professional bench stone for getting the best edge you can. If you're working on professional chef's knives or woodworking tools, get as large a bench stone as you can and learn to use it. DMT also makes fantastic bench stones that will generally work more quickly and consistently than other brands. What this is: A professional diamond sharpening surface in the two most useful grits for general use. - You use the blue (coarse) side to remove bulk material. This is perfect for knives that need a lot of attention due to nicks or extreme dullness. It can also be used to correct or change the blade bevel on smallish knives. - You use the red (fine) side to finish up what you started with the coarse side. Several passes on each side is all you should need to create a nice lasting edge. How to use: Take care to ensure that what you're sharpening is parallel to the surface of the stone. It can be tricky at first, but you'll feel the increased friction when the diamond surface has contact with the blade. Otherwise, you'll just be scraping the edge of the stone along the blade and doing little sharpening. This is one of the great advantages of a full-size bench stone. You can use it wet or dry; I prefer to sharpen by a sink to rinse the stone and keep it lubricated with water. It just makes things faster. For knives, hold the blade at a 22 degree angle to the stone (halfway from perpendicular is 45, and halfway from that is 22.5) and move in the direction the blade is pointed. Sweep along the blade as you sharpen to get the whole blade in each pass. On one side, you'll be pushing the blade away from you, but to get the other, you'll need to pull it toward the handle. This is a little dangerous, but if you use a little caution it should be fine. If you need to remove a lot of material, feel free to move the blade in circles and really grind the metal off. Once you're close to the final edge, start making lighter and more 'graceful' passes, being sure to alternate the sides every couple passes. This will ensure that you won't get any burrs or roll the edge over.

Good tool, works well.
This tool works very well with the coarse side rapidly removing enough metal to restore the proper shape. Then the fine side works well for a sharp edge. Seller delivered promptly. The handle is not as robust as an earlier diafold that I owned and eventually wore out after many years of work.

Works very well
This was a gift for my step-Dad, and he actually called me after using it to tell me just how much he loved it. He said he threw out all of his other stones right away - I’m going to say it’s a good product! Lol. One thing I do have to say is I did not get it from Bill’s Bait Bucket - they cancelled my order and I had to get it from Amazon directly.
