Griot's Garage 51140 Foaming Sprayer

Works fine for doing this with a hose. Great suds. Going to make sudsy snow with it if it doesn't snow this year. lol

I have small hands And this sprayer is easy to use. You can separate the soap bottle and just use the sprayer to rinse. Love this is a bigger capacity than most standard sprayers. Last a full wash on the boat and truck!

VERY happy w/ all the Griot's Garage items I've purchased, including this Brilliant Finish Foaming Sprayer. This appears well-made, w/ a nice pistol grip hose nozzle. The nozzle body is cast zinc w/ a black plastic overmold. The nozzle overmold has deep ribs w/ finger contours to help the grip. It has a standard brass valve w/ knurled threaded max adjustment knob w/ a standard zinc wire loop hold open bail. There is a molded hanging loop. The inlet includes a domed stainless filter screen. The pistol grip nozzle inlet and outlet both have standard 3/4-11.5NH Garden Hose Threads (GHT). The outlet has pull collar quick connect coupler. This coupler permits easy connect / disconnect to the reservoir / foaming nozzle assembly. The coupler fit permits gravity to maintain the cup on the bottom during operation. The cup capacity is about 5½ cups / 44 oz. My usage is to put about 3-4 oz of liquid car soap into the cup, then slowly fill w/ water (to limit foaming). The cup is retained to the foaming nozzle w/ molded coarse threads, about two full turns from attached to removed. The plastic foaming nozzle does an excellent job of quickly covering the entire vehicle in soapy foam. The cup capacity is ideal for covering an entire SUV, four wheels and wheel wells in soapy foam.

I have a Ford Edge. I filled this to the recommended lines with water and then soap, as recommended. The mix started out heavy and then the bottle ran dry about 80 percent done around the cat. I would not say I went slowly or even completely covered it. It did however rinse off but the pressure of this unit without the bottle on is nothing different than with a garden hose itself. I switched to a garden nozzle, much like a fire hose nozzle, and it rinsed off more quickly. The beading was tremendous and I grabbed my leaf blower for a quick blow dry. It was not my intention this time around to wipe down or use a ceramic top coat. It was shiny after it air dried and looked pretty good overall. Today's rain did uncover the fact that the windshield did displace water better and the car body was quite water spotted when parked in the garage. We'll see what happens after it drys in the garage and I'll update. Far better than $30 a time at the car wash.
