TEKCOPLUS Thermometer Thermocouple K Type 4- Channel SD Card Data Logger Temperature with Beeper and LED Alarm + 2 Bead Type Probe Wire Sensor

The meter is a little smaller than I expected somehow, only slightly larger than comfortable to hold in one hand. I attached the two cheap flimsy K type thermocouples it came with, two I already had, and a more rugged steel-sheath type and they all agreed pretty well, both at room temperature, in cold water and warm water. Normally the tolerance on K type probes is only 1.5 C near room temperatures, and worse at extremes, so I don't expect a perfect match. I tried recording to the provided 8GB memory card at 1 minute intervals, and then at 1 second. It works. On slow temperature ramps with 1 second sampling intervals, the output sometimes looks "steppy" as if the real resolution of the converter is more like 1 deg C and they're just averaging several readings to get a 0.1 C display, so I don't think it has true 0.1 degree precision, but probably no one cares about that.My main complaint is the cheap plastic case with very tight battery and SD card covers, so stiff I broke off the retaining tab on the SD cover opening it, so now I have to tape it closed. What do I expect buying the cheapest recording meter, I guess. There is a 1/4-20 thread in the middle of the back, so you could mount it on a camera tripod or the like. Anyway the internals of it do what I expect it to. By the way the user manual for this is online, just search for "operation manual 88598 logger" but without the quotes. The product number is 88598 both on the manual and the product. From the website, maybe it is made by "AZ Instrument" in Taiwan, but you wouldn't know it from either the device or the manual.

Did everything I needed it to do.Was perfect alternative to much higher dollar versions. I compared it to a fluke thermometer simultaneously and accuracy was +/- 2 Deg F on same heat source, but that could be the thermocouples themselves as they were different brands.Manual is not good, like so many things out of China now-a- days, the set-up menu is not very intuitive and manual does not help much with that, but once you get the hang of it, it is Ok. However it loses it settings when battery is removed even momentarily.The battery connection springs are a bit weak, I had it stop working on a couple of occasion due to batteries being loose (and then had to reset everything in the menu), I just stretched the springs a bit and seems Ok now.Note - Although the plug slots are different sizes, it is quite easy to push the plugs the wrong way round, so you just have to pay attentionThe data text file is easy to transfer to Excel, copy all data from the text file, past into a cell, then immediately go to Data Tab and select "Text to columns", then continue and the data is ready for manipulation and charting

Needed to measure and record temperatures simultaneously and this did the trick. No frills, just works.

Il Data Logger funziona bene, appena inserite le termocoppie di tipo K restituisce immediatamente la misura della temperatura sul display e visualizza contemporaneamente la temperatura su tutti e quattro i canali che può gestire. La costruzione è curata. Se proprio dobbiamo trovare una pecca, direi l'interfaccia davvero basica: sarebbe stato comodo visualizzare la struttura del menu sul display, invece si accede ai sotto menu mantenendo la pressione sui tasti preposti, poi bisogna interpretare le "scritte", realizzate utilizzando i pochi caratteri disponibili sul display a cristalli liquidi. Non dico che sarebbe stato necessario un display touch in 4k, questo in fondo è uno strumento di lavoro e non serve per guardare i video in streaming, ma forse si sarebbe potuta adottare una combinazione display-sistema operativo un po' meno basica. Il vantaggio della soluzione adottata è che il consumo di batterie è davvero ridotto. Una funzione molto utile è la possibilità di registrare i dati sulla scheda SD (che è inclusa nella confezione, insieme alle batterie!), potendo anche selezionare il tempo di campionamento in intervalli tra 1s e 10 minuti. I dati vengono salvati in un normale formato .txt. Concludendo, il Data Logger funziona bene ed è un prodotto consigliato

This device is hard to set up, as the instructions are so tiny as to be unreadable so must be downloaded and it skips many steps (like "select channel" without saying one word as to how to do so). But they are very helpful via emails, so i was able to muddle through. Once set up though, this is a marvelous data logging quad Type "K" T.C. reader. I have used it for several long tests (48 hours each), reading the datum every minute and it is perfect. To test, i used 4 T.C.'s in a single beaker of water and the temperatures were within .1 C of each other. I switched T.C's of the highest and lowest, and proved the difference was in the T.C's, not the meter. It is a great meter, very portable and inexpensive.
