Personally, yes I always do. I would think it can be an individual preference, but to avoid injury and (same as a boxer would/does), wrapping is an essential pre-fight routine/ritual.

To ensure the proper fit, measure the circumference of your palm across your knuckles. S/M gloves will fit a circumference of 19~22 cm. L/XL gloves will fit a circumference of 22+ cm.
