Q: What is the stick made of? Can it stay hard if it is extended?

The pole is made from aluminum sections that slide together with a spring clip that retains them once connected. At first glance I thought the metal tubes were pretty thin, but once assembled, I was impressed with how solid it is. No flex and really well designed in my opinion.

Q: How do you apply the window cleaner? Do you soak one of the pads in window cleaner or spray it on the window?

I use a bucket with small amount of Dawn & just dip the pad into it
