Westin 26-0001 Replacement Step Pad Kit for Platinum 3 Nerf Bars 20" Pad (1 Pad)

Just what I needed to replace original pad. Perfect fit for 18 year old pad that was lost in snow/ice storm trip.

Exact match. Perfect fit. The edges don’t stay secured flush with the surface of the tube bars though. Kind of a pain, but I’m happy with the replacements overall.

Unknown on the durability of the step. I had to replace the broken previous step but then sold the truck within a year. The previous step lasted for well over 15 years until damaged.

The product seems to be made of quality materials. It was easy to remove the old step pad using a flathead screwdriver and using it to pry up the step pad. Some of the old clips stayed in the in bar but I was able to use a screwdriver to lift up the clips and then grab with needle nose pliers. I read that it's best to plave the clips half way in the holes then align the pad with the clips and smack it in. I used my fist and it was not that hard. One side decided to lift up as the new steps are not pliable. I parked in the sun hoping the heat would make them softer for the clips to hold but no luck. What I decided to do was use one of the old clips and spread the clip wider with a flathead screwdriver then place in the hole and then smaked it in. Held better but I could tell that in time with a twisting foot on the pad that it would loosen itself up again. I purchased some gorilla glue epoxy and glued the front down and held it down with clamps for it to dry. Dried in 20 minutes and I was able to use the pads to step on. It will take some time but be patient and stick with it. The clips to me are the problem. They just don't have enough holding strength to keep the pad in place. There needs to be a better clip from the manufacturer.

Turns up at the ends. Didn't fit right and looked terrible. Didn't even bother returning. Went right into the trash.

East to install, Remove from the shipping box, Pry off old pad, and clean the Chrome Step rails, install the clips, and put the pad in the clips and gently tap the pad in proper places on the rails. Whole job only took about an half an hour each, and they look great. Very please with the produce and Amazon for there fast service.

Easy to install. Fixed as good as new!

The Westin Pad itself is a perfect match to the old one, but the retaining clips do not fit very well! After installing all the new clips and pad per the instructions, the front pad and clip keeps popping back up and will not lock. I have to keep pressing the pad into place, I'm afraid that i will loose this pad as well. They need to send extras in case the clips are bad. ...Or sell the clips by themselves so you can make the pad lock down.
