Could this be used temporarily (1-2 weeks) on on a sturdy wooden squareheadboard instead of a hospital bed? Is so, what dimensions will it adjust to?

The trapeze bar that I purchased is held in place with some equipment that is on the floor. it should work fine with a headboard. I am not sure how to answer the question, what will it adjust to _ but we were very happy with this equipment, and my husband still uses it

is the height on the back bar adjustable?

YES. HAs set screws on the frame to adjust it up or down. The only limitation is once it hits the floor you cannot go lower.

Will this work on a CS7 Invacare bed headboard??

No, the only model that will work with that bed is the IHCSTRPHD

Is there a weight limit?

The product states a 250lb weight capacity, but I would add the caveat that the weight is "assisted" lift weight. It's pretty sturdy, but you need to make sure that the bolts are all tightened properly. My mother gave hers quite a workout and it held up just fine.
