Not really interesting
It's kind of ok but honestly your mum can give you most of this advice

Amazing book
For me, this author draws together easy to follow guidance from the dizzying wealth of information on Ayurveda that exists out there. Very knowledgeable and well written. It mainly concentrates on diet, exercise and sleep. I've been reading lots of books on the subject and this is the one I've been looking for.

Brilliant book!
There is so much information in this book, (it's almost addictive to read) you want to know more and more! I got it as a gift but I've ended up reading it myself first haha.

A little vague
did not like the fact that the book said very little about shift workers and very little new information in the book

Written for the American audience, but with timeless principles beautifully simplified
All examples in the book are written with the American audience in the mind. The principles explained are universal and timeless though.I found the text and its treatment to be repetitive at many places. The questionairres are also not well designed, most questions leave you with a feeling that the answer choices do not cover what really applies to your situation. The text at some places in the book is too small and the font and printing not so easy on the eyes. The aspect of circadian rhythm is quite revealing and one must align to it to validate whether the outcomes deacribed in the text are indeed achievable. What is appreciable though is that the author has done a fantastic job at presenting the core principles of Ayurveda in a manner that is simified and very easy to understand. The concept of pulse taking seems to be a bit incomplete as it does not leave you with any validatory feedback. Similarly for the aspects cited for the tongue and bowel movement observations. While many aspects leave you a bit bewildered and asking for more, the book helps you appreciate that indeed your body keeps talking to you only if you were willing to listen in. Would have appreciated a bit more completeness in the cause and effect relationships though.
