This Prodigy Life AHCC product is great. Affordable, easy to swallow and not nauseating like a lot of supplements. I read about AHCC on a few medical research websites as well as in a book (The Rebel’s Apothecary) that was a testimony to the helpfulness of AHCC in preventing cancer, but also in supporting your body if you’re already going through cancer and have chosen conventional chemotherapy... I had six rounds of conventional chemo followed by radiation and targeted therapy and took AHCC for most of that time. I had quite a decent amount of energy and my labs (blood levels) were always very good. My skin did well also. I recommend this product to anyone going through cancer therapy (ALWAYS CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR FIRST) and I will be supplementing with it to maintain good health and energy.

I avoid pharm meds as much as possible. I purchased this to incorporate into my daily supplements routine and have not had any issues with it. Easy to swallow and no after taste when it digests. As far as the overall impact to my health and wellness, I can only say, it has NOT hurt my plight to maintain healthiness. I have not been sick for a while.In fact, my niece was sharing my drink WITH MY STRAW, not knowing she caught a stomach bug from her brother and ended up vomiting over the next 2 days. I was diagnosed with a virus that will stay with me forever (90% of our population has this) and was starting to have issues as a result...brought on by stress, of course. My doctor wanted to get right in there and start running tests and do some medical procedures. Finally! A brand of active hexose that actually boosts your immune system! We have tried many supplements, compounds, vitamins, etc that left us disappointed. We first noticed something was amiss when we opened the bottle and saw opaque, safety-yellow colored, fun looking capsules. Filled with a curious need for self-preservation, we opened a capsule to reveal a powder that definitely wasn't the signature brown of true AHCC. Lacking a lab, our amateur sleuthing led us to believe the powder is nothing more than green tea or something that smells like it. That's our best guess, and it's a better guess than meth, borax, or ecstasy (two of which we have no experience with). The company did refund us upon first request and threw Amazon's packing under the bus which we thought weird since a Google of the company reveals they operate out of what looks like a shipping store in a mini-mail . Not sure what's going on with this vendor, but you shouldn't rely on them for your AHCC needs. At the very least, a reseller of AHCC should know how to spell 'shiitake'.
