Tower Sensor Bin with Retainer Ring, Battery-Operated, 50L, White, T838005W

This is a really nice,modern looking,easy to use,automatic,waste bin !!! A very nice upgrade to my kitchen bin,which was definitely needed in my case. It has made a massive difference from the swing lid bin I had,and it's so much more hygienic aswell,being as you literally do not have to touch it,unless you change the bag or clean it.....Amazing !!! It looks great,it wipes down and cleans well,the bag is hidden inside wrapped over a retainer ring....It works fantastic !!!....And,it's the perfect size and colour I needed,what more can you ask for ??? It's also really well made,the top is lightweight but all together,quite heavy duty and top quality,in my honest opinion !!!.....It's worth every penny I paid for it,as far as I'm concerned !!! You will have to buy 4-AA batteries for the lid,so the more you use it,the more batteries you will need over time....Obviously !!!....But,for prolonged use,you can turn it off by a switch under the battery box and just keep the lid up until your finished,then just turn it back on again,simple !!! I ended up buying a charger with 8 rechargeable batteries and I just swap them over when I need to and recharge them....I always got batteries whenever I need them,sorted !!! Overall....If you're looking for a sleek,modern,quality,automatic bin,then there's no need to look any further !!! I'm really happy with mine. Thanks !!!

I’m really happy with this tower sensor bin. It arrived quickly and was very well packaged. The setup was simple and straightforward, and it looks sleek and modern in my kitchen. The sensor works reliably and responds quickly, which makes it very convenient and hygienic to use, especially when cooking. This werent a bad product, it just didnt suit the way I use my kitchen. The sensor is at short range and is completely horizontal/frontal, it doesnt sense anything from a diagonal angle at all, so wouldnt work when reaching over to put something in, or emptying a long armed dustpan for e.g. you have to be stood RIGHT infront of it for it to open and there is no manual back up button like some of the other brands. Tested it for a day before sending it back. Given it 4 stars as its a nice bin, just wouldnt work for me personally. If you have a large kitchen where you have to walk over to your bin area anyway, this would be perfect. Good size, good VfM

A useless bit of kitchen decor!! I’ve tried three different makes of brand new batteries and so far I’ve had approximately 30 minutes and around five cycles of this working as it should. I almost threw a party when I saw it working as it should. Apart from those few cycles where it’s fully opened and stayed open long enough for me to put something in the bin, it’s just useless. It opens up around 15cms and closes immediately. I spoke with the manufacture and they simply insulted my intelligence by telling me to ensure I’d inserted the batteries correctly🤪 I now have to go to the inconvenience of carrying this big thing along to the post office to return it.

This Tower kitchen bin is fabulous. Lovely latte colour easy to clean and batteries last ages. I did buy the Tower airfryer, toaster kettle and tea coffee sugar pots but they are not the same colour even though it says Latte and are all the same brand.

Purchased on special offer so price was really good. Purchased the white but would say that is not as bright white a the image more of a creamy white. Easy to install batteries and a bit fiddly to insert the bin liner but will get used to it, opening and closing of the bin works like a treat, so good to have hands free use of a bin. Great size especially for a family, seems sturdy enough. Lets hope the battery life is good so don’t have to keep changing batteries time will tell. Looks great in my kitchen would recommend

I've been using the Tower 50L Sensor Bin (Cream) for a few days now and overall it's a solid upgrade from a pedal bin. Here's my honest breakdown: Pros: Size: 50L is genuinely generous, easily handles a household's daily rubbish without needing constant emptying Sturdiness: Feels solid and well-built, not flimsy at all. No wobbling or creaking when the lid opens and closes Ease of use: Easy to set up straight out of the box and just as easy to use day to day Bag removal: Coming from a bin without this tray system, where bags would flare out over the top of the lid, this is a nice improvement. The tray keeps the bag neat and tucked in, so it looks a lot more presentable and clean overall. It is a bit more faff to set up compared to a regular bin where you just drape the bag over the edges, but for me that extra step isn't a bother Sensor opening: Smooth and reliable. There's a very slight delay before the lid opens, which doesn't bother me at all day to day Appearance: The cream colourway looks premium and fits well in a modern kitchen Cons: Sensor sensitivity: The lid will open if you simply walk past it, not just when you reach in to use it. Not a dealbreaker for me, but worth knowing if you're after a bin that only opens on purpose. This will also drain the batteries faster over time from the extra opening cycles Speed: If you want an instant open bin, a pedal bin will still beat it. The delay is minor but noticeable Cleaning (cream colour specifically): If you cook a lot of dishes with strong colour (curries, turmeric heavy sauces, etc.), keep an eye on splashes. The cream finish shows stains and can be a bit tricky to clean if left too long, wipe it down promptly and you'll have no issues Verdict: A great looking, practical bin that does the job well so far. Sturdy, easy to use, and the bag retention system is a genuinely nice touch. Just go in knowing the sensor is sensitive and the lighter colour needs a little more upkeep if your cooking gets messy. Will update if anything changes with longer use. IMO good value for money
