LEKATO UHF Wireless Guitar System with 70 Channels for Guitar Bass (Pink)

Over 220+ gigs and 5 years of use! Zero signal drops on stage. Most of our gigs are 4 hours, and they last well beyond that before they die. These have an excellent range, too. For bands like mine that have to run their own sound, they allow me to walk the room with my iPad to adjust the mix. Being wireless for $50 was the best investment. The ONLY issue I've had: I bought 2 sets in Nov 2021, and it's now April 2026. After about 5 years and all those gigs, one set is finally losing its battery life. Just this week, a set finally started losing its battery life and now only lasts about 2 hours. I immediately got back on Amazon and ordered a replacement set without hesitation because of how excellent these have been. 100% would recommend.

This review will cover the following: Active pickups, Tone, sustain, noise, and audio waveforms. First things first: the LEKATO WS-70 works with active pickups. I have no issues using this wireless system with my guitar equipped with Seymour Duncan Blackout Active pickups w/ an Energizer Lithium 9V battery. Second thing: there is an audible TONE difference between the WS-70 and a guitar cable. The WS-70 has less top end (tone/brightness) than my Mogami Gold instrument cable and my cheap Chinese made cable that ships with [some] guitars. This is not a bad thing at all; I actually prefer the WS-70's tone compared to my Mogami. The WS-70 sounds less shrill/ear-piercing in the treble spectrum while the Mogami does sound harsh. I suppose (educated guess) the LEKATO doesn't reproduce the higher treble frequencies the same as a cable. Overall, it sounds great in comparison with a cable; you can always adjust your preamp settings to account for any treble frequencies lost using this wireless system. Third: Sustain. There is audibly less sustain from the WS-70 in comparison to a cable; about a second less in my case. Not a big deal. Fourth: Noise. My Mogami Gold Instrument cable produces 60's cycle hum & hiss with my Hughes & Kettner Grandmeister Deluxe 40 Tube Amp. The LEKATO WS-70 does not produce 60's cycle hum at all, just hiss. It is significantly less noisy in comparison to a cable. As for the hiss, it can be removed with a noise gate. Fifth and lastly: Audio Waveforms. When recording into a DAW, the waveform of a cable is dynamic with peaks. The waveform of the WS-70 is more linear/smooth with no peaks. Is this compression? I'm not sure. Take this information with a grain of salt. Overall, the WS-70 is a great sounding system, and I would buy it again especially at its current price. First, i have to say, at $40 this is a great deal. You need to buy this one. The question then becomes, which one do you want for your second wireless system? First impression is good with a few reservations... i bought the Swiff WS50 UHF and the Lakato WS70 UHF wireless systems. These products represent the two most common and well reviewed designs (WS50 and WS70) sold under many brand names on Amazon. Both designs are great choices. You can't go wrong. Both designs introduce a hiss into the sound. The hiss from the WS50 is higher pitched and louder than the hiss from the WS70 design. The output of the Ws50 is a little louder than the WS70 (which may be why the hiss is louder), but both designs are lower output than a short cable. Both designs have less high frequency roll off than happens with a cable with the tone of the WS50 being very balanced. The ws70 tone was closer to the tone of the cable. I like the tone i get with both designs for different reasons. The WS50 clear tone gives more clean tone options while the WS70 seems to break up overdrives earlier with more harmonics. Both are awesome sound options. Both designs have had about 3 drop outs in 3 hours of use. The battery life is about the same. The battery indicators on the WS50 are way better than on the WS70 which bleed into each other so it is really difficult to see how much battery is left. Both designs will do a 4 hour gig. When charging from zero battery for an hour, both designs could play for over 2 hours. Once when i had the WS70 going from guitar to pedal board and the WS50 going pedal board to amp, the sustain of the note would get choked off like a noise gate kicked in. It did not happen as much when i swapped the WS50 to the guitar and the WS70 to the amp. But the sustain using a chord was better. This would only matter when playing quiet songs with guitar volume turned down low. You don't notice it when rocking. Bottom line is that i will probably keep both and go full wire less. But, I'll always have cables at the ready. We some times play 6 hour gigs, so I'll have to do at least some of those shows wired, no pun intended :-) UPDATE: I ended up returning both of the UHF units. I really liked them and wanted them to stay, but the since I use my volume control on my guitar a lot, the gating of low signals just won't work in all situations. I ordered some 2.4Ghz systems and 5.8Ghz systems to try out and some of those don't have the gating problem and my old AKG UHF system does not have the gating problem. In those units, the signal fades away just like it does with a wire. I finally figured out that is the most important quality for my use. If you play with your guitar or bass full up all the time, you might not notice the gating issue. Apart from the gating issue, i really like these units.

I've had the Swiff Blackwing wireless system for about 3 years. Loved it. The battery started to die so I decided it was time to upgrade. I bought a system that was a couple hundred bucks that ran in the 2.4GHZ range. It added 60 cycle hum to my amp and it was cutting frequencies out. It sounded terrible comparatively. I decided to buy the updated Swiff Blackwing. Same thing, it added 60 cycle hum and was cutting frequencies out. I'm not a tone snob, both of these replacement systems sounded noticeably worse. I bought this system before giving in and making a last ditch effort to buy a Samson or Audio Technica system for a few hundred bucks, and these things are working flawlessly. No hum, no noise, they sound fantastic.

ok first off, if your doing something like 70's rock, this is "Perfect"!! the signal is good! and it is "Clean" if doing anything say? more Overdriven like say? Molly Hatchet? you may be Disappointed? it has a tendency to like many, to "Over Clean the Signal" so if doing a say? Metallica or Megadeth or a distortion that is for lack of a better word? that Sizzle/buzz many seek, which is great for more the Modern Metal and Megadeth,Mettalica(before Injustice etc.) or Dream theater, Judas Priest etc. etc. then you many wonder where that top end went? as well, because it will clean up signal a bit more? the sound gets a bit "Muddy" EQ'ing will help but getting the "Distortion Drive" back might find needing a Pedal on Front of Amp needed? if doing say? more Prog type Metal? or something like King Diamond etc. etc. but! general Practice? fiddling around it is Good!! would i use it "Live" no! the Sure DX systems are great! and the systems that seem to be around the $400+ mark? saddly? though more expensive? of the ones i have tried? the NUX C 5RC is Pretty darn Close!!! hitting a hair extra "Gain" will help on that one, and the B-8 is about the same, with more Options, but again this is a GOOD system! for the Money! and Starting out! at the Price it is DARN HARD to beat!! and if as mentioned doing say Country, jazz, mellow MELLOW rock, or something like ZZ-Top would be "Pushing it", your Gain will be really REALLY good!! doing harder Metal harder rock if very Picky on "Gain"(ie. Distortion/Overdive etc.) you may find the something like your Solos will sound "Less" Gain'y and somewhat "Cleaner" in a bad way. oddly? the OLDER systems from past seem to have worked better! for Instance? in Practice i still use an OLDER NADY UHF system! for Live smaller gigs i use a SURE GLXD+ series and seems to add a Hair of Gain! so added Bonus! and for Bigger Venues short of Touring out of state, i use Sure GLX-D14R+ systems. so if your very "Picky" for some sounds AKA "Tones" etc. this may not be for you? but in general? it is a 6 star! for the Budget!! a good 3 star for general "Tone" and a 6 star if doing "Clean" type guitar work or Gain (Distortion/Overdrive) is not a Critical thing? this is a 5 star!

I'm in a praise band and had a problem with my guitar cord getting tangled around my feet and ankles. I saw the write-up on the LEKATO WS-70 UHF Wireless Guitar System and decided to give it a try. I've used it for two practices and four services so far and am completely satisfied with it. Easy to use. No interference or dropouts. I can't hear any latency, and the battery life is excellent. The range is great! There isn't a spot in our worship space I can't play from. Only issue I can find is the green link and battery life LEDs are a tad bright, but I can live with that. I do recommend this product.

Lekato has done it again.. I have 6 different sets of wireless systems from really expensive to really cheap but all are 5.8gz as I've heard terrible things bout uhf... But I was in a pinch to find a System that didn't interfere with my tremelo arm on my fender strat as all of my others didn't allow the arm to pass and these were avaiable over night and cheap so I ordered them... Not only did they sound just as clear with no detectable latency as any of my 5.8's when I put them to the distance and line of sight test these near out all the other.. Lekato 5.8's came in a strong second beating out nux, line 6, and even the $300 wireless pedal system (which will remain nameless as I'm a huge fan of this company)... You can never EVER go wrong with Lekato!

HSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! That is the primary sound these things deliver. When you hit a chord, bend a note or lay down a riff, every quiet moment between sounds you intended to make, you will hear hissing. Like a rubber raft slowly deflating, or a car tire with a bad valve, the hissing is loud, disconcerting, and ultimately un-musical. Did I mention the hissing? It is ever-present, and so very disappointing. Also, they be hissing.

Very pleased with purchase and value. Works great, sounds great, battery lasts decently long, and charges relatively quickly. If you do not have the budget for higher end systems, this is what I would recommend.

Its works well and has a very good range as described.. it has absolutely no noticeable latency and works well with a processor without loss of signals..

Connectivity is good but the tone gets compressed, it didn’t change the sound but there is some kind of compression, clearly audible when plucking the notes a little harder on the bass.
