Perfect for my needs. Excellent product that works like it was intended to.
I am so happy with this product. It's simple - or "basic," as the name implies - and it worked great! I bought a Fry Daddy and it had no controls. This has temperature controls so i can experiment with french fries. notably, french fries made out of turnips, rutabagas and potatoes. the recipe i have had double deep frying. First at 160 degrees for 10 minutes (approx) for all of the various fries, cooling for 20 minutes, then 2nd deep frying at 175 degrees. the fries were perfect with all of the ingredients! I'm very happy with this product! I loved it had a lid to keep the work area clean. I love that it was easy to clean and that it fit in a small area of my cupboard.

Easy to use and cooks perfectly
This deep fryer works really well and heats up quickly. The food comes out crispy and evenly cooked every time. It’s simple to use, easy to clean, and the size is perfect for home cooking. Great value for the money!

So Glad I finally bought one
WOW. I would give 10 star if I could. First off the Amazon shipping was awesome. Received 4 hours after ordering. This is my first experience with a deep fryer. I wanted to save myself time from cleaning my stove top since we love fried foods. The unit was easy to put together. The time to heat the oil to the max temperature (375) was speedy. Love that I could fill the basket and not worry about grease splashing back out on me, the stove, counter or floor!!! The top cover with the viewing screen is genius. I can see my food and keep the oil from spattering. I chose party wings as my first cook. After 8 minutes they were super crispy and perfectly done (which I always worry about). Next thing on the menu were fries which were crispy and perfect!! Sooo worth the money. Why did I ever wait so long to purchase this life saving appliance 🤷🏽♀️ The only thing I would change is the cord length. I’m looking forward to a much easier and quicker cleanup than I’m used to.

Works well. We use it a lot.
Our old deep fryer was very difficult to keep clean, so when it failed, I decided to give this one a try. I've been very pleased with its operation. However, like some other reviewers have mentioned, it tends to run a few degrees cooler than the settings knob indicates. As far as cooking, it doesn't recover to operating temperature as quickly as our old one did. However, the older on was considerably smaller. It hasn't proven to be a show-stopper. The reason it doesn't get five stars is the oil pan. The pan is stamped metal and the edges of it are rather sharp. You must be very careful to avoid cutting your fingers when hand washing it. But that said, it is still very easy to take apart and keep clean. For the price, I haven't seen anything comparable.

This fryer is Awesome!!
Oh my, this heats up fast and my chicken turned out crispy and inside was perfect. We purchased a new electric stove and soon found out they have a safety feature the keeps shutting off the burners when they reached a certain temperature. Then several minutes later they would heat up again only to keep repeating the process. I haven’t been able to fry chicken in several years because of this. I did purchase a different fryer from Walmart but it never got hot enough so I was hesitant to try this one and I am so glad I did. This fryer is great. I am so happy because I can fry chicken again. Easy to operate and easy to clean! Wonderful fryer!

Works as good if not better than some of the more expensive ones on the market.
I had a more expensive one that didn't last 8 months, so I purchased this one, and it is holding up nicely. People who say the green light doesn't work, you have to wait until it gets to that temperature that you set it at, and then the light will come on. So far I have been very pleased with this fryer and the price can't be beat.

Decent for the price, but has some issues. I explain how to fix them.
It's a decent air fryer for the price. But it definitely has some issues. Here they are, and how I addressed them: 1) It has plastic feet which elevates the hot metal parts 1/2" above the counter. I assumed this would be sufficient, and checking the manual, I found no hint otherwise. But after using it the first time, I checked my counter and found it concerningly hot. And that was just after a short fry session. I've been working around this by laying a metal rack with raised legs on the counter first, then a baking sheet, such that it provides a second air gap and heatsink when the fryer is placed on top. Would have been nice if this wasn't necessary though. It probably wouldn't have taken much to do so, a tiny bit of built-in insulation, or even just taller plastic feet. 2) The plastic handle on the fry basket is of clamshell (two-part) construction, hollow on the inside, and has an unsealed gap where it meets the metal. So when washing, water can get inside, and remain trapped inside until the handle is tipped upwards to an angle where it drains out the gap. I discovered this as I was removing the basket, and the water very narrowly missed pouring into the hot oil, which could have been messy and dangerous. For now, I'll make sure to drain the handle after each washing. Later I'll seal it properly with silicone. But this isn't something that should have been left for consumers to discover and fix on their own. 3) The AI review summary said, "others mention it doesn't reach the desired temperature". And as luck would have it, I am one of those others. Even set to the max temperature of 375°F, mine only got up to 345°F, as verified by both infrared and probe thermometers. Usable, but definitely not optimal. So I decided to recalibrate it myself, which was actually rather easy once I'd figured it out. Easy enough I can share how. But if you follow these instructions, you assume all risk of damage to the fryer and yourself, and are probably voiding your warranty. Use a large flathead screwdriver to remove the temperature control knob, by prying between its bottom lip and the case. Work slowly, switching to various angles and prying just a little from each, with the goal of working it off the shaft evenly (else it could crack). The calibration screw is in the middle of the hollow shaft, covered with red threadlocker compound. With the unit in a position where the hollow will hold it, add a drop of acetone or nail polish remover. Let sit for two minutes. Then remove the acetone and dissolved compound with a cotton swab. Repeat as necessary until you can easily fit a small (typically jeweler's) flathead in the screw's slot and turn it freely, but remember its original position and return the screw to it. I repeated three times to be thorough, but two were probably adequate. Now prepare the air fryer for normal operation, including filling with oil. Very lightly replace the knob, which only goes on in one orientation due to the D-shaped shaft and fitting. Set it to the temperature you're most interested in accurately maintaining. Then being careful not to further turn it, remove the knob again. Turn the air fryer on, and wait for it to come up to temperature as indicated by the "Ready" light. Check the temperature of the oil using a thermometer you trust. If low, use a tiny flathead screwdriver (typically a jeweler's) to very slowly turn the calibration screw counterclockwise, until the "Ready" light goes off. Be careful not to turn the shaft itself while doing this, it may help to hold it immobile with pliers in your other hand. Then wait for "Ready" to come back on, and recheck the temperature. Repeat as needed. I made four such adjustments, in total turning the screw less than 1/8th of a rotation, to fully correct the 30°F error. When calibrated to satisfaction, turn off the air fryer. Apply new threadlocker or fingernail polish to the screw so that it can't turn on its own, let dry completely, and fully replace the knob. Done! A safety tip - keep the lid on whenever possible during this procedure, so that if you accidentally drop a tool or the knob, it doesn't splash into the hot oil.
