Best Purchase for my Scroll Saw.
The media could not be loaded. I use these blades with my WEN 3920 scroll saw. I'm relatively new to scroll sawing; regular blades are great but they weren't allowing me to do as much detailing as I wanted or sharp turns. I decided to go ahead and try spiral blades and these looked good for a test run. I LOVE THEM. I was cutting letters out with a straight blades and it would take about 3-4 minutes per letter because the font was decorative. With these spiral blades, I can cut out a letter in under 60 seconds. The cuts aren't as clean as a straight blade cuts but about 10-15 seconds of sanding (with a dremel) got my edges smooth again. These blades easily cut 3-4 hours off my first big project and I never once broke a blade or had to change it out.I uploaded a video that shows the types of cuts you can get from a spiral blade that you wouldn't be able to cut with a straight blade.

Where have these been all my life?!?!?
Where have these been all my life?!?!? I was working on an impossible project (piece was 2' square and couldn't maneuver on my saw). These wonderful blades not only allowed me to complete the project fast, but left an extremely clean cut that required little to no sanding. Good product, fair price, fast shipping. Highly recommended!

Spiral Blades Can Do A Special Job
I purchased the set mostly for the #7 blades. i am cutting 5/8 inch pressure treated wood fence pickets to make a design across several boards. First the good: The blades really do work in all directions. They give you greater flexibility to do large work. The bad: You need to know a few things about this type of blade. This steel is thinner so when it is twisted it has the expected kerf. Being thinner leads to easier bending. Be aware of this when fishing it through the small hole so you don't bend it. The twisting also leads to some flexing and stretching of the blade. This becomes more noticeable in thicker material. The TPI number appears true, but since these teeth wrap around, there are fewer teeth vertically in line, so it acts like a lower TPI blade. To adjust for this, you can up the speed on the scroll saw. The surface of the cut is not as smooth as a straight blade. For large work where fine details are not an issue, it will not matter. Finally, since the blade cut along its entire surface, it doesn't track as well as a standard blade. If you go into using spiral blades, just be aware of this before using. And of cause, practice with these before the actual project.Overall, be aware of the challenges of using a spiral blade and you will be more satisfied with the results.

good variety and cut well.
Good blades so far. No broken blades and seem to cut well. Like the 2/0, 1 & 3. The 5 & 7 are too thick and don't cut well for me. Understand, there is nothing wrong with blades. My tastes lean toward thinner blades.

WONDERFUL CUTTING BLADES
Love these Flying Dutchman Spiral Scroll saw blades. They are fast cutting and you don't have to cut a relief space to make a turn as with the flat pinned blades. These are fantastic blades!! And I got a set of different sizes, one dozen blades for each size in the package.

A different kind of blade, with benefits and problems
PROS:Stronger than standard blades.Allow 360 degree cutting without turning the material.CONS:Takes a significantly larger cut out of the material.More difficult to control until one becomes practiced in use.Can be difficult to install in the saw because of the twisted nature; they tend to try resist slipping in the jaw slots unless you get them aligned just right.SUMMARY:I decided to try spiral blades to see if they lived up to the claims. They do... to an extent. As would be expected they take a considerably larger bite out of the material, and while you can indeed cut from any direction, cutting any direction except straight-on can cause a loss of control. Because they are basically twisted standard blades rather than totally different cutting concept, they take less of a bite with each cut and thus require a higher speed on the scroll saw. They're okay for cutting wood so long as you're not cutting intricate patterns. They're good for cutting plastic because they cut a wide enough swath the plastic doesn't weld itself back together behind the blade path. But they're somewhat like planting a violet with a shovel. Because of that I doubt I would purchase these again. For fine work I prefer standard blades. I'm sure there are folks out there that prefer these blades for the work they do. If one can live with the negative issues issues to gain the advantages these blades offer they're worth a look see. I'd recommend trying the thinnest set available at least once to see how you like them.

Super Bargin
This was a fantastic bargain. I have been using the blades doing some scroll saw detailed work and these blades are really performing. I would buy these again for sure. A dozen each of five different sizes makes this a very useful package. When something is not working exactly the way I want I just change to the next larger or smaller blade.

5 Dozen Spiral Flying Dutchman Scroll Saw Blades 5 Different Sizes Intro...
Excellent started kit. Price is great for the amount of blades received. I found that spiral blade cut a little different from straight blades, It is just a matter of getting use to them. I have found that mounting the blade in the saw requires more attention than a straight blade. Other than that I am happy with them and the service I received
