2012 release from the Finnish Gothic rockers. As the title implies, X is the 10th album from the band and the follow-up to the 2009 album Back in Blood. Features the single 'Red'. Review: yeah I bought it because I miss Type O so bad, but this album has taken on a life ... - Killer Goth, yeah I bought it because I miss Type O so bad, but this album has taken on a life of its own for me. The songs are so well written and really get inside your head. I don't know how many times I've sang "If you love me the morning after" - since buying this album. So yeah, if you are into goth, or just good music, definitely give it a try. Oh and forgive the guys for some of the lyrics, they are from Helsinki after all. Review: Just Some Great Goth Rock - Fantastic followup to their last CD, Back In Blood. This band has been at it for over 20 years and keeps improving with every release. This CD has a slower pace than their other releases, but it doesn't disappoint in the slightest. Despite the slow pace of each song, you still feel yourself rocking out. As a fan of the band, I have a playlist of my favorite songs. Of the ten tracks on this CD, six of them made it onto my permanent 69 Eyes playlist. Some favorite tracks I suggest: 1. I Love the Darkness in You 2. Red 3. If You Love Me The Morning After 4. Black 5. Tonight 6. Borderline

Better than the last one.
As a fan of their early heavy sleaze sound, I haven't thought much of their goth records, especially as the heavy guitars vanished completely. I did purchase Angels as it had some rocking songs and I thought was the start of their return to proper rock but the last album back in blood was all over the place and a let down on the whole. I was hoping to hear an increasingly heavy sound on the next one but the band said they were going more goth again which I was disappointed with but thankfully this album is actually pretty good. Much better songs than the last, and there are some moments of heavy guitar if not quite enough. Sadly the two chosen singles were probably two of the weakest songs on the album, but the first few such as 1000 years of blood are really good. If you like some goth with some rock give it a go!

The most accessable 69 Eyes
The 69 Eyes are my favorite Finnish gothic rock band, but X is their most commercially-accessible album, with hardly a hint of their trademark horror-based themes. I'm not saying it's bad, necessarily, just different. This album goes down smooth. "I love the darkness in you" is my favorite song on the album.

X-ceptional Album!
The Helsinki vampires have outdone themselves with X. This is truly a return to form. For those of you who like their older stuff you will not be disappointed. They return to their old sound, but the songs still sound fresh and melodic. A must have for any true fan of this band!
