Permatex 81950 Ultra Slick Engine Assembly Lube, 4 oz. , Red

Planning some engine work on my old Civic, I grabbed this for my little home garage next to my desk in the office area. Texture is thick so it sticks right on the cam lobes and bearings. During a late Saturday install, it stayed put even when i kept rotating the crank. Im glad I had it.

Actually grabbed this for my dorm bc my roommate and i are rebuilding an old motorcycle engine in the parking lot behind our building. Ultra slick is a good name for it. This stuff clings hard to the parts so I’m not stressing while we spin the crank and check clearances. I can see it staying put on cam lobes and bearings, even when we keep stopping to look things up on YouTube. The red color helps a ton when I’m tired and double checking what I hit and what I missed. Tube is small but goes a long way, and it doesn’t make a giant mess on our tiny workbench. Made me weirdly glad we didn’t cheap out.

Garage pick up for me and my teenage son rebuilding the old Civic engine. This stuff is thick and stays where i put it on bearings and cam lobes. Motor spun free on first start. Only gripe, the bottle is small so if you’re doing a full build just grab two.

This is a good quality product it has more uses than just assembley

First got this as a gift from my son, who knows i still like to tinker with old lawn mower engines in the garage. The texture feels thick and it clings nicely to bearings and cam lobes, so parts stay coated while I take my time. The bottle is a bit stiff though, so squeezing out the last third takes some annoying effort with my older hands. Still, it worked reallly well on the small Briggs engine we rebuilt together last month.

Lovely sticky slick engine lube. Great tack adherence. Pretty much the benchmark if building a fresh engine.

Le produit lui même me semble parfait pour remonter un moteur. L'huile adhère très bien aux surfaces, pas besoin d'en mettre des tonnes. On peut faire plusieurs moteurs sans problème. Le produit est visible une fois en place, on sait si on l'a mis ou pas. Le seul reproche c'est le bouchon verseur qui pourrait être plus pratique, là on a un système qui évite d'avoir un bouchon qui se balade mais c'est pas des plus pratique pour étaler du produit précisement.
