Fret Buzzzzzz
So, I gave this 2 stars overall. I have an older G7th capo that works great! I must be 10 years old now, and it's still my favorite capo. This new design that I purchased is different. It's narrower, meaning less rubber on the strings. The release mechanism also works in the reverse direction as my one. It kinda doesn't make sense to me to have it work that way. I like the release of the older one far better. All that aside, the reason I returned it was because I had pretty serious fret buzz when the capo was placed on the second and third frets. I have to wonder if it's because of the narrower design. For the $80 price I'd expect it work flawlessly. It didn't. I was using it on a Gretsch Rancher Penguin Parlor acoustic guitar. Maybe it was the guitar neck shape? I don't really know. Either way, I'll stick with my old G7th capo. Very disappointed that the new design seems to be a step backward.
